I'm outside now, facing a raised drawbridge. I run to the left of the drawbridge, leap off to the poles in the distance, flip to the next one, then flip-wall-jump to the pole above me. But I cannot turn around and flip to the platform!

You must pull a lever in order to bring the drawbridge down. If you head left you will see a set of flag poles; swing from them and then work your way to the ledge, and then jump up to the hallway, which contains poles and spikes; work your way through that and then move all the way around and you'll reach a door. Leap to the pole, then enter the room; You're back in the mess hall now. walk down the stairs and again pull another level, which brings up a ladder and allows farah up to where you are. Then go back up the steps. Near the door enterance you'll see a door that Farah can crawl under there...let her go in and open the door, then move into that room, collect the sand cloud and then pull yet another lever, bringing down the drawbridge.

Now if I am understanding your problem right, all you need to do is after you wall jump to the pole, face the ledge and then swing to it, which will allow you to land on the ledge and climb up the wall to the ledge with the spinning blade poles, etc.

Thanks for all the info, but you didn't understand my problem - no matter which direction I push, I CAN'T turn to face the ledge!

Ok while your hanging press "Q" this will change the camera, the next thing to do is press "D" or the "right arrow" press Q again and you can play further. This way it must work. If not than turn the camera to face the front of the prince then press "W" or "up arrow". One of these ways have to work.

hai friend,
i can understand your problem coz i faced the same.but its not that hard, just press the up and right arrow at the same time and you will turn to face the ledge.after you hav brought the draw bridge down ,when you go through it the sand demons will come.actually there is no need to fight there ,u can avoid them and run through the door.make sure that Faraha is with you.
