Thread: Scragbat starts production of online movie | Forums

It's an online movie so you know the deal...
    No story!!
Just some great takedowns and some nice sequences (I hope).
It will include the usual cinematic FX but this time round it will also have full in-game audio and additional sound FX.
    Yep full in-game audio!

I have been flying online a lot lately and have captured some great footage (IMO). I have reviewed over 10 hours of captured tracks from servers on HL inlcuding my own hosted server.
I have indexed all the time points for all these tracks (after playing them back) for the best action sequences and I am now at the capture stage and can begin production.
I have several working titles but haven't decided on which one yet.

    Stay tuned

Looking forward to it Scragbat !

I'm also currently working on an online dogfight movie, but I've only used "real" sounds. It's working very well, and it's pretty cool. (I think the FB engine and gun/cannon sounds are a bit arcade lol)

    Love your work Scragbat!

I'm getting a really weird bug in my online tracks - sometimes the aircraft keep firing and firing, even though I shoot in short bursts.

Then again, I'm making the track in the latest patch and copying it over to my copy of the last one (so I can see the rounds).

That happened to me on my last movie project 'Retribution', and that was with patch 1.21.
My main track file was pretty big. I think it was over half an hour, which meant I recorded lots of mini-tracks (ntrk) from this main one to make the capture process of my AVI's with Fraps easier. If I hadn't I would have had to keep fast-forward my big track and that would have taken too long.
A couple of the ntrk tracks (quick record) had infinitley firing aircraft on them even though they didn't behave like that in the original main track.
I posted a topic about this in ORR and was told that it was a bug with quick-record. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.

Just bad luck for us if it does.

Hopefully maybe this little problem will be fixed also in the AEP...

At last i have been waiting for this since Mysticpumas epic movie was released and Scrag said he would have to make a movie with special sound effects seeing as Mystic had raised the bar so high with his movie and the bomb cam shot .

I would love to know how that was done ')
