Thread: The Source Network down! (AGAIN!) | Forums

  1. #1
Man, we have the worst luck with hosts! The Source Network, consisting of VC-Source.com, Splinter Cell Source.com, and PC Games Source.com is once again down! It's now been two full days. The stupid host is experiencing "hard drive problems" he says. So we don't know if we will be able to get back online anytime soon. This mainly affects those of you who frequently visit these sites and those of you who's sigs I host. To make matters even worse, if the host can't save the info on the hard drive, than my site is once again screwed. The cpanel software that the host uses was supposed to make a backup of the site everyday, however lately for some reason it has been screwed up and the last backup was done a month ago! So if the site info is lost, I will lose all info I've created in the past month. Which is about 3 reviews and hours of adding new games to the list. To make matters even worse, I have some of the most popular game companies that are supposed to check out my site for specific purposes, including LucasArts and Ubisoft, however if the site isn't up, they of course can't check it out. And since it's sooooooooo hard to get in contact with the lady in charge of Public Relations at Ubisoft, this is an opportunity that doesn't happen often. And to make matters even further worse, I've created a new website for a competition at school, which by the way I'm winning. And of course I have this new site hosted by my current site, but now that the network is down, the judges won't be able to see it. Talk about bad luck! Once again I'm sorry to those who frequently visit any of these sites and to those whom sigs I host.

-Thank you for reading this crap.

Well, on a lighter note, this post makes a total of 3,000 posts for me. It's like an anniversary.

I never received a notice from SC.com. I want my site listed in the Links-section. My site isn't as good as SCSource, but it's okay IMO.
