Well this is it??

I was ready to pre order CM10k , now I will have to have a serious 2nd look. (If I do end up purchasing CM10k it will be only because of the learning material included)

I hope this is a rough copy that will be significantly refined upon release..because it sure looks rough

this is looking to be appealing more and more to the battle chess crowd with a smattering of seriousness.
What is happening here with the CM series ??
-you have to choose a cartoon character to log in??
The 3d boards are for kids
the 2d boards are still not up to Chessbase standards of clarity.
I will spend some more time with this tonite and see.
overall pretty disapointing.

It would seem that after all these years, the makers of the CM series would have enough $$ investment in the series to bring the program up to par with other programs on the market.
it is sorely lacking in this respect.
Why are the 2D pieces still looking rough and not sharp.
Silly graphical emphasis!
Enough of the silly boards that are available!

If the Chessmaster series is working its way to the education of young people, that is fine the rest of us can move on the the more serious programs that are available on the market and rethink the Chessmaster series as Chess for children
