Oh, I love Riven's music. And I know what you mean by the saxophone--especially for the 'Fissure' track. It's so melancholy, yet so beautifully. I love Riven's music almost more than anything else I've heard.

Jack Wall is great, though. Although I agree with Alahmnat--some of Exile's music was a little bit too theatrical, especially the latter ones with Saavedro. And I really would have liked a more peaceful, conclusive credits song in that game--not the singing like was in the intro. Still, the main theme of Amateria is one of my favorite songs ever. So, I'm REALLY looking forward to Revelation's music.

I hope Revelation's soundtrack includes LOTS of relaxing ambient music.

    Please, Jack...?

    I'm sure he won't.

He made me cry already with "The Forest and the Swamp".

Oh, I'm such a crybaby. I should just shut up.

I really like the theme from Amateria, and also "The Airship Chasm" in Voltaic was very haunting. I hope the Revelation music will be a little like Uru's. I really love the Uru music, especially "fall of D'ni", that brought tears to my eyes when I was wondering in that ruined pub Oh yeah, I also really love the theme from Rime in RealMyst, not to mention the trailer music.

Hmmmm. I should invest in a Riven and a Myst soundtrack.

I liked that piece of music in Exile that was played in several different areas but in different ways. You know what I'm talking about.
It has 3 notes that are repeated twice and then the third time its the 3 notes but with three more elongated ones.

    Anyways....ummm....yeah. You get the idea.

Yes. And it looks like those 3 notes are spreading into other games as well.

I know that the creators of the worlds of Myst should feel flattered, but where is the line that separates inspiration from copying?

For me, Riven was the ultimate game so far in the series (though I am not counting URU - that's something related, but different entirely - and for the record, I loved it and felt great sorrow for the loss of live). But as sound tracks go - for me by far the best is the Main Theme from Exile. Closely followed by (somewhat eclectively) by Temple from Riven.

I love most of the Myst games' music. But one theme (I believe it was in Exile) used that typical horror movie goth chant style. Puhleeeeeze. That is so "Omen".

    I want Myst, not Gothika.
