    my game runs fine, but i was looking at the Splintercell ini and under the [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice] section, the line following that it says Translucency=True. i was j/w wondering what that is. and also what is VolumetricLighting=False??? thanks a lot and i hope this was the right forums to ask this on

    Translucency has something to do with lights and windows I believe. IE, the windows are trancelucent, and the lights are in bulbs. Some ppl can set that to false and get rid of the lights though walls senerio. As for volumetric lighting, that setting can only be used by high end video cards such as the GF4 TI, GFFX, and ATI 9x00. It makes the game look GOOD.

    well i have a ATI 9500 pro and i can't see a difference when i turn it on, what exactly does it do

    I think it's just for the Nvidia cards.
