You really should specify extended ascii as the problem. All characters used are ascii values, but the ones that cause problems in the replays are extended ascii characters.

Now, to the topic. I'm pretty sure its been announced by some GR developer guy, that EXTENDED ascii does indeed mess with GR's files.
