Ok, I've read all the topics about the lava room, everyone mentions turning the fan on. Well I have tried everywhichway but I can't find out how to turn it on .... I have spent days trying, help me please

Muttondummy - if you have been into the lava room you must have noticed the walkway with the red knob controller. The lava fan switch is reached from this walkway. You have to play with the most independant red knob in the world. The walkway must be raised twice to make it possible to turn on the fan and then you must return everything to the condition it was in at the beginnin. Keep trying as it is an agravating experience. The big rod with gear is also part of the sequence required.

Thanks Bob, I didn't realise I had to get the platform up twice, I have moved the gear back and forwards loads of times but the platform only once, off to try again.

I am in Amateria doing the carosel puzzle, I have managed a couple of times to get the glass ball to head off towards the pagoda but just before it gets there it smashes against what looks like a piece of wood sticking out in the middle of the rails. Is this because I haven't got the puzzle right or do I have to somehow remove the piece of wood?

Oh, wait -- I got confused. When you say "carousel puzzle" do you mean the one with the big vibrating hoops that all make different sounds? I usually call something else the "carousel puzzle" but by your description I think you're talking about the one with the sound hoops. So the answer to your question is, no, you don't have to remove anything from the track. If the ball smashes it is because of the puzzle settings.

The answer Princess gave will work if you are doing the carousel puzzle or the sound hoops puzzle. As long as the crystal breaks you have something wrong with the setup. If you are reseting three red pins it is the carousel and if you have to reset a clock like thing at the loop you are in the sound hoop thing.

Thanks everyone for your help, it was the puzzle with the pegs actually but you are right if it smashes then it aint right, I have solved it now, in fact I am now in Narnia and can't find how to start!!! I have listened to the mad guy sounding off, found the tapestries and guess they are linked to the book with the quotations, I have opened the metal box thingies but can't do anything there so where do I go from here??

Well first things first, I take it you mean Narayan not Narnia , and yes the quotations and symbols are linked together, you just have to figure out how to transfer them into the two pedestals.
