You must be talking about one of the perimeter tusks.
The answer for the four balls is in the top of the main tusk. There you will find the solution of the four balls for each of the perimeter tusks.

In the center of Jnanin there is a tusk that I call the main tusk. There are three other tusks around the perimeter of the island.
There are clues to getting the linking books down in each of the perimeter tusks, and for other puzzles you will find in the other ages, all in the main tusk.

i got into the one usinglight as the color code and i got into the one using the sound of the critter but i can't figure out the elevator one where are the clues for that
To get the elevator working, you need to read Saavedro's journal -- he took parts out of it to mess with something else, and now it has to be set manually. Luckily, he wrote down how to do this.

The avatar is one of the ancient native stone art symbols that can be found mostly in the south west USA but some have been recorded in Canada and also in the east USA. This symbol is interpreted as being a journey-0, emergence, sipapu, migration, etc. From the book I have it has several different meanings.
i've gotten into all tusk but i can't figure out how much you zoom in to get the position for the balls
