Help!! Tilde key doesnt work again | Forums

Hey buds,

I'm having this problem again where my tilde key (~) doesnt work anymore to change nav points. This seems to happen when I change other key assignments (didn't touch the tilde assignment). It was ok for awhile until I changed the radar scan keys. I can't even find the change nav point key assignment in the options menu. I hope there's an easy way to fix this..otherwise I'm going to have to reset to default and start customizing again.

Well, just to make sure are have you tried switching to Nav mode first (number 1)?

Aerhm I have the exactly SAME problem.
This key doesnâ´t work for me too.
Very strange, and I didnâ´t find the Options Key either.
Please let me know how to fix it.

Hi..the way I found to fix this is to set all your assignments to default..then see if your tilde key works..then start assigning ur keys and check again to see the tilde key still works..when you've made all ur custom assignments and the tilde key still works..make a copy of your input folder..so if it stops working you can just restore it from the backup input folder.

I've got this problem AND I haven't remapped any keys. Does anyone know where this option appears in the input menus?

Hi Andy,

This key is nowhere to be found in the controls assignment page. I suggest you call tech support if it doesnt work at all..even in default. Make sure your in nav mode first (1 key on keyboard)..then try the tilde key and see if it cycles to the next nav point. Also make sure there is more than 1 nav point in ur flight..otherwise theres nothing to cycle to.

I've never experienced this problem before so I suspect that you are not using the NAV modes properly.

Remember that there are more than one NAV mode. Make sure you hit the "1" key again to ensure you are in the correct NAV mode as there are both enroute and Landing modes.

Look in the input options list for "Next Target" under Air Combat, I believe. The ~ key is used in several modes to switch to the next "whatever". Targets (probably in Easy Mode Radar) or waypoints.

Buccaneer and I had a similar problem with the Wingman "/" Command Key. It would suddenly stop working.

Substituted for the "Y" (Pugachevs Cobra) key - never had a problem since.

hi yoram ! Does this prob appear in arcade Radar-Mode ? Just toggle this mode to realistic and back (press shift + I)---so tilde will work again
