It would appear.
Gonna be hard to beat Creative out of their market share.

I just put my Audigy back in. Soundstorm just doesn't have as good surround sound.
That is great news for non nforce 2 owners.
Audigy really canâ´t compete for surround gaming with a soundstorm home theater speaker setup. As you may know those speakers generally beats the crap out of those computer speakers and my Audigy 2 is just worseless with them.
Nothing beats true 5.1 gaming in Every game that supports at least 4.1
So yes Creative should be worried definiatly. More and more computer users got Home theater systems now and those really want a Soundstorm that encodes dolby digital on the fly not an Audigy or other card.
Well, crap, then!
I bought an Audigy 2 two weeks ago. At least it's THX certified... Whatever that means!
Well, if you've got like, way too much time on your hands, explore this link for what THX, Dolby and other musical nonsense stands for...
Old farts like me think Dolby sucks. Yes, there is less noise, but there is also a flatter, less deep or rich sound as a result.
