Thread: Practice missions. How to create one? | Forums

    Hello all,

Is there a way to create your own missions?

I would like to practice landing/taxi-take off, air refueling.

Is there a way to create this using the mission editor? Thanks for your help.

    Open mission editor.

    Create coalitions.

    Press plane icon (top left)
Place cursor over airfiled and click.

In Route options (bottom right) where it says type..select Take Off.

Top of page see "FLY" hit that and your on the runway.

Flaps down, full throttle, pull back on stick and your in the air..

    Simple really!

Your setup in the Mission Editor should look something like this:

Make sure SKILL is set to PLAYER.
Set the Takeoff Option to Parking Area.
This will let you start engines manually (hold down PAGE UP key with throttle pushed forward till engines start)

You can add a Tanker for AR practice like this:

You want a LONG straight shot between waypoints (the one shown here is actually too short!). Its a good idea to set up a loop for the tanker in case you're busy doing other stuff for a while.

One more question for you WhiskeyRomeo.

Can I change the time of day in the editor? I am sure you can but I can't find it.

    Thanks again!

Find the briefing option in one of the pull-down menus, and change the mission start in that.
