    Interesting article.

IMHO.. Maybe & please don't flame me for this but, perchance, Uru should of been started out as a single player game - Then, as it progressed, and the developers became more comfortable and confident in how Uru was progressing, throw us players a "Bone" to the fact, that in the future.. an Online version, could be possible. That way, us players, could of been slowly introduced into the MMO field of Uru.

NO, I am NOT trying to beat a "Dead Horse" here, so please don't holler as me
    Jus my opinion

Hopefully, down the road, when everything smooths out.. Cyan will try the online aspect again. Who knows!! Could be 6mos or 1yr, before they even think of doing Live again... BUT, I am in it for the long haul!!

Someone, posted about - IF - they were to attempt Online again, using "Battlenet??" Maybe! Could be an option!!

"Confidence".. Is that feeling by which the mind embarks, in Great & Honorable courses, with a sure Hope & Trust in "Itself!"

If CyanBill is the "former live content director for URU Live" I hope he's the NEW something else and didn't just lose his job!?

-No one can go back and make a brand new start...Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending-

Perhaps "former" refers to the fact that Live is no more.

Comments like "You kind of need everyone involved to have the stomach and the vision and the dream to pull one of these off," he said. and "there just wasn't enough interest to support the ramp up for Uru Live to support itself" make me wonder if he's refering to fans or to UbiSoft.

Hmm, interesting... I think that's a good perspective.

Still not what the fanatical GIMME URU LIVE part of me wants to hear, but it's valid.

    The Uru still Lives.

I'm starting to feel sorry for myself. Managed to finally get into URU after working all the way through xmas and WHAM no URU. No email from Ubi, no warning just gone. Depressing! So what am I supposed to do till an expansion pack eventually is available???

I didn't get a peek and I've heard such good things <sigh>. Now, where's the ice-cream so I can drown my sorrows?

"The conventional game-marketing model of trying to sell 100,000 units in 90 days just doesn't work with MMOs", he said.

This is what we've all been saying all along.
