What's with the pings in this game? Why does it say I have a 40, ping on the player roster but say I have a 222 ping when I look at stat net?

I think it would be the most helpful if the player roster ping told me how long it would take my bullets to hit the target.

dont look at stat net, just play, you aren't getting much lower than 40 on any server, unless the server is being hosted from your living room.

My ladder stats. Albeit not good.

I've noticed in every Unreal engine based game I've played, the ping listed on the scoreboard is always completely different then the ping listed in stat net.

Well, I've been looking at the two, and while the ping on the scoreboard consistantly says either 32 or 40, stat net can be anywhere between 90 and 300.

If the scoreboard ping were truthful I would be able to pick and choose which servers to play on rather than get completely owned by lag.

And, no it's not that I'm playing like crap that day. I know the difference, and when I am playing like crap, I accept it. When I'm playing well but missing my targets because because of lag, I get ticked.

Honestly, if I did really have 40 ping, I could aim at my targets directly and probably kill with one or two shots. 40 milliseconds is pretty close to like being on a LAN. When ping is good, it's so fast that it's almost like people die even before I shoot them!

Does anyone find it strange that the scoreboard ping only displays certain numbers? I always see the numbers 15, 16, 32, 40, 63, 72, 80, and 111, regardless of how many different servers I go to. Is there a reason for this?
