Ok, I have firewire on this machine and I have nothing that runs with firewire. Is it ok to remove the card and disconnect the wires, to power and front firewire/usb hub, without causing problems?

Second is, can my dialup pci card which I no longer use as I am on broad band, be pulled with no problems? I think this is a no-brainer but just want to make sure.

Reason is that I want to move the ethernet pci card down to give my video card more room to breathe.

Come to think of it, I've never seen (or don't remember seeing) any discussion on moving or removing things you no longer use. Or, just want to move around for clearance and cooling purposes.

    Thanks. ~S!~

Removing the modem card will eliminate a sound device and that means more fps. Rip that modem card out now!

The firewire card will eat a couple resource bits as well, but not anything dramatic in increase in performance, but it will reduce conflicts and free up buss bandwidth.

Thanks LB, I knew you'd be on top of things. Thanks mate! ~S!~

This might sound dumb but it might be good info for your Luckyboy's Guide, for dummies like me.

I'll check it, but I think that point is in there somewhere in the guide. If not you get full credit!

LB, I've been reading so much stuff lately I probably missed it in your Guide.

All this info can cause CRS. And I can't afford the ink to print it all out. LOL
