Hi all,
I would like to get this problem resolved ( or find out if it can be resolved )!
I have 5 game stations behind my NAT Router. Also, all 5 station has 5 CDkeys, they are all legal copies( So, we are clear on that.) I also have my own dedicate RS Server hosting some where else.
Problem 1.
When we try to join our Public RS Server. Only 2 of us can join and the rest got a "CDKey is already been used" error. However, if I reload the Public RS Server, we all could join just fine. We just thought it was the server problem. Then we decided to change map and server was reloaded. One player quit and decided to join later. When he came back and tried to join, he received the "CDKey is being used" error. Even he was able to join the server before with the same Key. My conclusion that i can draw from this case is as long as you join the server when the server first started up, even you quit and come back, everything is okay. However, once the server loads to different map and did some changes, any new players will have this CDKey is being used error.
Problem 2.
1 of us wants to create a LAN game instead of joining the public server, so 1 person host a game (not dedicated lan server), then we join. However, only 2 of us can join and the rest of the 2 will get a "CDKey is already been used" error. This time, it doesn't matter if i recreate the lan server or what, it just only accept 3 people max to play even I set max people to 8 in the server.
I know this problem only occurs behind a NAT Router because i tested this on a public IP network and they all work just fine with the same workstations and same CDKeys.
My Firewall is definitely correct or else none of the game stations will be able to connect to the key server. I even stop all filtering and allow all in and out traffic and still the same thing. Could anyone or any UBI support give me a hand on this issue.
Thanks
Johnny

1. Double click your "my computer" icon.
2. From here, you will need to navigate to the folder that you installed Raven Shield to. The default location for Raven Shield is C:\program files\red storm entertainment\raven shield\
3. From the Raven Shield folder, double click on the "system" folder.
4. In the system folder, there will be a file titled "ravenshield.ini." Right click on this file and choose "edit" or "open".
5. Under the "[R6GameService.R6GSServers]" heading, locate the entry for "m_iCDKeyClientPort=5777" Each computer on the LAN will need to have a unique port number after the 'equals' sign. For example, if you had three computers on the network, you could leave one computer using the port 5777, one using 5776, and the third using 5775.
NOTE: We strongly suggest that you move backwards by one port number per computer. The reason for this is that if you decide to run a server, the game will need to use port 5778 to validate the cd keys as a server.
NOTE 2: If you are running a LAN game and do not have an active internet connection, you will also need to change the "m_bValidActivationID=False" line to "True" in the Ravenshield.ini file.
6. Once the port number has been changed, click file, and then save.
7. Close this window and try the game!
