Thread: Which Card Better for RvS | Forums

  1. #1
I'm wondering which card is better for RvS? Nvida or ATI (considering both using the latest driver) i post this because in the summer i'm probably either gonna get a ATI 9600 or a Nvida w/e model that rivals the 9600 and wondering which would be better. Currently i use ATI 9000 non pro ='/

I've got a 9800 Pro, and I'd recommend you get an Nvidia if you plan to use FSAA or AF in this game. More people complain about problems with ATi cards than with Nvidia cards when it comes to RvS.

I've got Nvidia 5900 XT. I run everything on HIGH 1280x1024. I have had NO problems with FSAA or Anti stroping filtering. I get 60 fps constant (Vsync ON). I run FarCry on 1280x1024 everything on Very High. I hear some people say ATI had the slightly better performance now. I dont know what can be better than what I'm getting and also the only times I have heard any complaints with all games regarding stability drivers etc it has been ATI.
My avice is take Nvidia. Ati guys brag about having slightly better benchmarks but in reality their cards are so much more unstable and it is known that Nvidia also overclocks a lot better.

My recommendation would be Nvidia. The XFX FX 5900 XT is currently the best value IMO at â£150 in the UK (around $200 US ?), and it gets great reviews.

I currently own a PNY FX 5600 which runs the game fine with all settings on high. That would be even cheaper now !

Whatever, good luck with your choice.
