Thread: Essential Tasks for Lomac in XP | Forums

    Is there a definitive list of the essential services which must be left running in the task manager in XP, to maximise the memory usage for Lmomac.

    Try this soft:

    http://home.ptd.net/~don5408/toolbox/enditall/

    It close or kill all the non-essential services in Win XP (and the others Windows too).

    i'm usiing gamers profile from blackviper and just before launching lomac enditall give its shot
    this combo works great
    you can also try small program called GameXP, you can download it from http://www.theorica.tk
    i believe it just apply registry profile similiar to those from blackviper and change a few more settings like file cacheing etc.
    those actions give me about 60mb more free ram so it's worth it
    good luck

    My own hint on Lock-on performance under XP ist is run it at higher priority than other threads.
    * First load Task Manager.
    * Use end process to kill all EXPLORER.EXEs - this will kill your desktop. You can restart it after by using File, New on Task Manager and running EXPLORER.EXE.
    * Run Lock-on with the following command:
    cmd.exe /c start /D C:\Games\LockOn /abovenormal C:\Games\LockOn\LockOn.exe

    This will give Lock-on greater share of the CPU than it is currently getting ... seems to work for me!
