I think whats really going to be cool is the moves instead of the weapons

Honestly, given the choice of one or the other, I'd choose the pistol IF it was made more realistically (check the actual specs for that gun-they're incredible). Also, physical space limitations should be made realistic (ie you can't draw your rifle while crawling through a really tight space)-this will give the edge to the pistol in versatility. Given both weapons, you'd have the manueverability of the pistol with the medium range capability (it's only a 1.6x scope...)and non-lethal and camera toys of the rifle. I think this would really even out the usage of both types of weapons in the game. I mean, the pistol physics were modelled so poorly it really wasn't nearly as viable an option in the game that it should've been. I just hope with the addition of more weapons in PT that it won't get into unrealistic load-outs. How many rifles can you realistically carry while being quiet and staying manueverable? I'd say one on a sling and one you can carry-but you would probably have to drop that one if you switched to anything else (ie temporarily be able to carry an opponent's weapon).

I think that the AP Army 5.7mm(the silenced handgun in splinter cell) should be changed to the Mark Acp MK23sd(silencer)
the MK23 is the prefered handgun of the US.special forces and its one of the very few guns in the world that doesnt loose too much power with a silencer.
And for the rifle i would like if it was made more realistic
(based on a real life weapon), but im ok with the multiple functions with the rifle.
I would also like in addition a pistol-dart, a pistol with darts instead of bullets, the darts would simply knock out the victim for like 1-2 hours.(the rifle could also have that option).

Physics for the pistol were pretty accurate, since the it is using silenced ammo which is a lot less powerful, and anyway, the 5.7mm is made for penetration, not expansion.
I doubt they would get more than one rifle, since the F2000 is signature, and if they do get more, you probably have to choose one for one mission.
The handgun in splinter cell is called a Five-seveN. A H&K Mk23 would not be practical being that it is very big and bulky, and carries 8 rounds less in the magazine. As for the whole silencer and power thing, all guns don't lose that much power when they use a silencer, , but they must use a special type of ammunition with it to make it "silent," or else it just reduces the decible level, not completly silencing it. The silenced bullets are a lot less powerful, since they can't make that much noise.
AndThe Rifle Sam Uses is real. An FN F2000.

Im happy with the weapons already. I just wish they could give us real grenades for the grenade launcher. Maybe a knife, too.

The rifle is real, based on the FN F2000.It's just called the sc20k for license reasons...i think. And Sam is supposed to be carrying weapons that won't give him away as a US operative should he be captured.
