A router contains a firewall which will prevent you from creating or joining a game in the Settlers4 Lobby. To play you must set up your router.

You need to go to your router setup screen and select the option for port forwarding. If you do not know how to do this then read your manual or ask the person who set the router up. Try also the help article on the link at the bottom of this post.

Open ports 3000, 3105, 7000. 8000, 8001, 9007, 9008, 9009, 10000, 10001, 10002

Forward ports 3000 and 3105 TCP and UDP to the PC on which you are playing settlers. To do that you will need the IP of the PC you are playing on.

To get IP in Win98 / ME go to start then run and type winipcfg. ok it then select your adaptor and it gives you the IP
In XP go to start then run and type cmd then enter ipconfig at the command prompt.
