Sam is getting old, So do you think Ubi should of stared Sam a bit younger, So the series would have been able to stretch longer. (Even thou we don't know how long its gonna last) I mean now in SC 3 its 2008 right? So how old is Sam?

If you saw the 'making of' on the Xbox SC1 disc you can see a prototype sketch of Sam ; with GREY/WHITE hair !.

So they already made him younger for SC1. He's supposed to be about 39 to 43 in SC1.
In PT Sam certainly looks older imo. Strangely
enough I REALLY am of opinion that SC3 Sam
looks even younger than SC1 Sam. I guess Ubi
just made him younger for Sc3 so they can make
more SC games heheh. Sneaky bastards

yeah the first idea ubi had for sam was like he was gonna die in a couple years! omg if they had that guy i would hate this game!

but i think they gotta make a new splinter cell, witout sam , hes is just getting to old.

the next splinter cell should be a guy that is being trained by sam, sam filling in a little for lambert. even sam will go wit the new guy on some simple missions.

lol that would be cool, but what ideas u think should be? sam should retire, yes or no? should there be another sc wit a new guy? what yeah think?

Old?!?!? If you've trained for the military all your life you can carry on into your late 50's! Sam is only 43 in PT. I think The series without Sam would die a horrible death. The MGS devs realised that when they put Raiden as the playable character, so they released Substance to keep the Snake fans happy. BTW, military personnel generally retire at around the standard retirement age. So Sam has a good 10 years left in him. Sam would probably be a mentor for a new guy from when he quits feild work in his 50's untill he retires. He'll never do Lamberts job, because Lambert's job is Desk work.

i've never liked the prequels idea. story jumps in time. just don't like it.
we just have to face the fact that everything good ends. ubi (or some other company) can make similar games, but splinter cell as we have known it, will eventually end.

i reckon that sam could easily get another 5-7 years of fieldwork in before he gets too crickly to move . so how many more sc games is that...2/3?
