If you are going to mix AS and RVS on 1 server, be warned. Whatever you have your port 7777 game to, that is the only type that can launch via IP / Port.
So say you have
Server 1 RVS Port 7777
Server 2 AS Port 7778
Server 3 RVS Port 7779
Since Port 7777's Game is RVS, anyone that is trying to get to Server 2, the AS Server via IP / Port will get an error saying Incompatible Version. They must use the In Game Browser in order to launch the AS Game.
If Server 1 is switched to AS Port 7777, then you wouldnt be able to connect to Server 3 via IP / Port and would have to use RVS In Game Browser.
If anyone finds a fix for this, would love to hear about it.

I am having the same problem with my new server host. Also if the server that has port 7777 is running a locked server you cant join by ip either because it will always ask for their p/w
Help!

The way around the locked problem is the Hosting company needs to setup a dummy server on 7777 that never gets locked. Then put the real servers on 7778..etc.

How can I direct the game to use a different ip? I know that for HL Servers I can use a command to make it start up on another ip (if I have one available, which I do).

As mentioned above, this is simply a port 7777 problem (how long has this extremely annoying bug been around now?).
If your dummy server on port 7777 is plain ravenshield, then your AS server on port 7787 or whatever port you are using is still not going to work unless the player joins via the in-game browser, as their client will still query port 7777 and see that it is plan ravenshield, and give an incompatible game type error.
Will they ever fix this problem, or is it intentional to try and get players to use the in-game browser?
