Is there a way to get my Real Player 1 to play any AVI's. I get a green screen and only the sound comes thru.. If I want to see a movie I have to first download it via the right click and "save target as" when I would realy just want to click on the link and have my player..Real One start playing it..

Is there something I'm missing..?

Like a plug in or something..?

you might need the proper codec, most people use divx 5.1.1 for their movies.

Some webhosts don't allow that, you have to actually save the file instead of having it "streamed" as you watch it.

real player can play *.avi?

i always use winamp/windows media player for that.

i think u should update your codec, if it doesnt work, use winamp/windows media player.

I changed my default AVI player from Real One Player to Windows Media Player.. Now all AVI movies play directly from the URL instead of having to download the movie..by right clicking and "saving target as "
