Cannot Creat rooms or Join for this resone: raven Sheild not installed | Forums

I have been haveing this proublom ever since i bought this game. Every time i i try and connect to a server at ubi.com i get this error.

Connot creat or join rooms for this reason:

Ravon Shield not installed.

yes i have version 1.41.

yes i am using my external ip.

yes im using the correct port setings.

oh and yes Raven Shield is installed.

yes i am connected to the internet when i try to log onto a server.

also get this. i have IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles, C+C Generals, Soldier of Fortune 2, and Need for Speed Hot Persuit. I have had no problums runnig these games online.

i know it's not my comp or my connection.


I have asked UBI tech for help 4 times now and they always say the same thing.


I have tried check disk, defraging, reinstalling XP.


I know one thing for shure, ill never buy by another RS again.

Evan FB is buged, but it.s a great game lol

Out of all my games, UBI seems to have the most bugs.

Have you tried a clean install of the game. Remove all remnants of the game including in the registry. Patch from 1.0 - 1.41. May do the trick, may not. Worth a try.

Remember this rule. . .

Just because it worked in/on someone else's computer does NOT mean it will work on yours!

tkanks for the sugestion KShot.

But i have done many reinstalls of RS and about 8 clean installs of XP since i bought RS.

I always run check disk and defrag before i install any game.

sorry,

I was checking out the fac or whatever you call it. well some where there it said to click on options and click on Lobby Settings. It also said to check the game loaction or where the exe is located.

Whel just under where it say's

Path where the exe is located, there is a box just below.

In the box is a grayed out 3 words.

Game not installed. Ok well i know that doent say much, but it tells me that UBI game service cant detect the game.

The game that i have is:

Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield.

now when im in the Multiplayer Lobbies i alway choose Ravenshield 3. So im shure im choosing the right one.

lol.

so i need help trying to get ubi game service thing to detect RS.

Pleas help me, im going ******ed, lol.

Wow, the exact same thing happens to me, worked fine until 1.41, then ubi stopped detecting it i've tried reinstalling ubi and i'm not reinstalling rvs because i just got it to work on my radeon 7000, this really sooks.
And another thing, when i try detecting it, it doesn't even have the manual detect button by Game Not Installed!!! In lobby settings. Ghost recon has it but not rvs? Can we plz fix that so me n hollow and everyone else who has this problem can play off of ubi?

Oh man, i am so releaved that im not the only one that gets this stupid error lol.

I have always receaved this error. I realy think it's anoying.

any way, ill vew this post again and i will keep surching for an answer or sulution.

Also let me know if u find any info on this matter.
