Improving Multiplayer Peformance help? | Forums

I finally bought a new video card, and have beaten the SP demo. moving on to the mp demo, I expected the same smoothness. Silly me. So, I reduced the quality in video tab to low. no noticeable improvement in smoothness. so I reduced the resolution to 800*600, then 640*480, still no change. in fact, if anything the framerate and controls suffered more the lower the resolution got. Then I though, manybe it's ust lag, so I tried the smae deal starting a lan game. nothing. is my memory to blame? it's only 512 mb SD ram. vid card is 9600 pro.
Why can't I seem to improve the framerate with lower resolutions and settings?

No, neither your memory (*ONLY* 512 mb) nor your vid card are to blame for this, that should work fine. Try updating your drivers.

Ok, found the problem. I had too many background tasks running. runs silky smooth now. Excellent concept on the multiplayer, ubisoft. I'm highly impressed. I am buying this game, no way around it. I'm a mercenary at heart, I actually won a 2v2 match >
