I am playing on verteran, and i CANNOT take that final room down. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I cannot find a way to gas it, flash it, smoke it, and every time I blow the door it just results in an execution -- these people have trigger fingers.

I followed the default plan, with two simultaneous explosive breaches on a go-code. If you are having problems approaching the door try using members with high stealth status and light armor. Recon specialist are good (and they have higher observation ratings than assault guys).
and/or leave one go code a little ways away from the door until both teams are at them, then give it so that they arrive at the door at the same time (with another go-code for the final explosion). The reason being that if the tangos inside hear you while setting charges, you still might have a chance, but not if both team arrive at the door out of sync.

ok, i will try this.

I almost broke my comptuer this afternoon because of that damn room. I have executed the hostages by accident 3 times... and tonight, after going through everything perfect -- no deaths everyone shooting above 70%, they executed the hostages -- i was sooo f'ing pissed...

anyways, just had to let the frustration out

also, keep the same plan as what HQ gives you, but what i did was also put a sniper in the game
when i cleared out the bottom level of that last building, i took my sniper all the way backl to the start, into the room where the 1st hostage is and went outside onto some stairs near the big open area )that big open area with cars where one of ur teams are supposed to be sniping until go code charlie). If you peak ull see a sniper hiding behind some crates on the top level, take him out. You should also be able to see the window of that last room where the final hostages are being kept. From your position the sniper should be able to see a hostage and terrorist. Whhen the 2 assualt teams have placed breaching chagres on the doors, give the go code for them to move in and at the same ime snipe that one terrorist u can see through the window

I figured out how to take down that room on elite difficulty, so it should be the same for veteran. I setup a second team at one door, and I take the other door. The other team has a door charge and a go code for a breach, I call out that go code, and enter as quickly as possible. Sadly, I haven't been able to get a single kill in that room, because the breach team is dang good.
BTW, I take the door closer to the catwalk with the sniper, and the breach team takes the other door. Also note that I still haven't finished this map satisfactorily, I always lose a few teammates. Good luck.

You got to get in the room fast, dont set the charges your self, have a team member do it, that way there is no hesitation. If you have the extra manpower, put some shooters on the windows.

Next time I run it, I think I'm going to bring in a third team and flash bang the window. It would be easier if the game had some hand launched distraction devices like maybe a 40mm.

Be warned, everytime I threw a flashbang through the window on elite difficulty, the terrorists killed a hostage.

You know where that sniper is behind the table. Get down and crawl under the window. I find a 3 team breach works every single time on Veteran. You set the third and as you call the code, the 2 breach teams blow stunning the occupants. Wait one second and blow the third door this will give you that extra second for your breach teams to execute everyone....usually before the smoke clears.

Personally I hate the first hostages..... If you go in there last for some reason it's a female dog.

Purchased the game yesterday....not enough time in the day for killing.

Torch, that delayed 2nd breach is a f&^$ing good idea. I wish I had thought of that.
One thing I do different is I take out the sniper from inside the room after the hostages are clear. I use an HBS to find him, then shoot him through the door with an unsuppressed G3A3.
