    im try to play videos w/ Windows Media Player (mostly LO:MAC ones) I have tryed several videos but in all i can only here the sound and the "album art" on the screen! help

    how did you record the avi?

    with which codec?

    Most likely you need the correct codec installed. THis is the direct download link. During installation there is no need to install the DivX player so un check it before install...

    he wouldnt need that codec unless he encoded with it.

    in ordor to encode with it, it would have already had to be installed before as divx5.1 dont come with lomac or windows os

    Umm, He didn't indicate that the videos he is trying to play were created by him.

    I recommend a freeware tool called AVIcodec to help you here.

    It will scan a movie file, tell you what video and audio codecs the file needs, tell you if you have them installed or not, and if not direct you to the web page you need to download them.

    Saves a lot of guesswork.

    Ok, i ran it and it said it was DivXNetworks Divx v5
    Where do i get that?
