    Hi,
On the single player demo I have enabled the stats via \r_displayinfo 1
How on earth do you remove them? I tried \r_displayinfo 0 but it doesn't do anything.

Secondly, I downloaded the research level from Fileplanet and found to start it you simply begin a new game. However, how do you go back to the normal demo level? Is there a way to switch between levels?

    Thanks,
    The Old Man.

    To display info please type

    \r_displayinfo 1

    To turn it off

    \r_displayinfo 0 using a (0)zero not an o

    Hi,

sorry I missed out the info bit in my post.
I tried it and I definitely typed it right with a \ not a / and it won't switch off the stats. They appear whilst the game is loading and never go away even in the game.

Hi - I had this problem too- the stats suddenly appeared without me knowingly doing anything. The only fix I found was to un-install the demo and completely re-install. I've had to do this several times anyway, coz I've tinkered with lots of the mods!

Hi, strange how this is happening, doesn't seem very common.

Also the fact that I can't play a choice of level, either the original demo or the bonus map is very frustrating. Has anyone found a way to do this yet?

I may have to uninstall too which I don't want to have to do because I'm enjoying the bonus map as much as the original!

Dunno about the stats, but if you start the game up with the "-DEVMODE" (Caps Sensitive) then there's a level selector in the "Campaign" menu. Obviously only two of the maps work but there we go. The original map is "Fort" btw

Thank you for that. I uninstalled the demo and reinstalled.

There is now a second demo which includes the research map on its own too but it means having the two demos on your PC!

BTW, Play.com are selling Far Cry for â£24.99 not â£17.99!
