whenever i place an entity say a Buggy in the sandbox editor it displays a rather annoying black square under the entity and when the entity moves the black square follows

im using a GF4 440mx with nvidia 56.64 drivers

This is probably a shadow map.
Uncheck Cast Shadow Map checkbox in entity properties.
