Regularly : What a joke!
Then again I guess it all down to intepretation of what "regular" means. To Avid gamers like ourselves and I am sure to Ubi also, it does not mean once a month, I like to think more like once a week.
There are lots of discussions in the forum about what Ubi owe there potential customers, some say nowt, some say lots more.
Personally, I think Ubi really need to define a "liason officer" of such, someone from Ubi who is dedicated to supplying any information regarding game development, media, Q&A.
I keep tabs on the official Stalker Website, (for those that do not know, www.stalker-game.com). About a month ago they assigned an individual to provide content for the website/community. Now, this site is flourishing in content!
full of media, news, community stories etc. The community feeling there is awesome. What makes it look bad for the Farcry official web site is that these guys do it on a "shoe string" budget and Stalker will not even be released till Q1 2004!
I think lessons can be learnt from the Stalker Web site. There community do not bicker about "when this, when that! blah blah blah", its all very laid back. Ok, its not perfect but much better than here. Forum topics are like " New Screen shots ", "10 new Videos", the list goes on.

Some of you maybe right, UBI officially owe us nothing but it is in there best interest to.

I see it as such:-

1) Either Ubi do not care/bothered about what you request on the forum (have you heard one single piece of feedback after the multiple request we have made?)
2) Ubi are too naive
3) New standards are being set in Community-Publisher relationship/feedback

but I dont get it some times.. why is it UBI not Crytek????????? Crytek ios making the game... they are making the demo.. UBI just makes the site I think..

I am not sure,

I guess it depends on the publisher/developer deal. I have no understanding to what level Crytek have to support the community from a forum/official UBI website perspective. Now you say it, it could well be down Crytek also. They have poked there nose in here and there to say something when they feel like it. Maybe I should of re-phrased my post in places as "Developer/Publisher".
At the end of the day this is the official UBI forum and they are responsible for it.

Still this is is an interesting discussion point also.

The people at Crytek have told us that it is upto UBI Soft to release the demo and not Crytek.(JMamais)

They also stated the release date is down to UBI as well, but when I asked the community manager, I got nought.

I think its more along the lines of UBI being the publisher of the game, so crytek does the game ubi advertises and publishes for release.,... im sure the site will launch WITH the demo.. just a hunch
