Has anyone heard anything from the Far Cry Beta Test group yet? It's been 6 days and not a peep. Is Far Cry going to be vaporware? I hope not! From what I have seen, the CryTek engine is awesome. But, will we ever get to test it? Who knows?

If you would of read the beta test thread you would of seen that ToBeDetermined said that beta acceptance e-mails are not going out till later this month. So why would we hear anything from beta testers yet? There arent any...

and of course we will see it:
fist they need applications, then im guessing everyone will have to send them their specs and more info about themselves, other betas they have done etc.
then they will pick the final 5000 or so based on various things such as geographical location.

i've seen people say something about 5000 testers... were was it stated that there will be 5000? if so then i think there will be a sopt for almost everyone that signed up. and that's just not preactical. it would give a broader base to test on differant systems, but i think it would cause more headaches than solve. maybe as far as keeping track of who is a tester and who isn't. or the possability of a leak is multiplied greatly with that amount of people.

like normal they do not respond realy fast in fact in most of the cases if they say we will get back to you in 2 days than that means IT COULD ALSO BE 2 weeks. this doesnt mean they do nothing cause they are hard ad work to fix stuff and we just have to wait.

oh right, no no one woul dhave done yet, it could be another few weeks yet, hopefully sooner though, while they sort it all out.
im pretty sure everyone who applied will get an email asking for more information, like specs etc.

It hasnt even been 6 days to start with.. it started monday..
They will probably give it two weeks before the beta testers are chosen.
