I have a problem with the sound in Prince of Persia, i can here the sound in the movies, but i can't here anything while i'm playing. what would be the problem? I have Dx 9.0b and SoundMax Digital Integrated Audio sound.

Have you tried disabling the hardware sound in the game options. You could also try lowering or disabling hardware sound from within your DXDIAG DirectSound settings.

i tried all of these, nothing worked.

It could be something to do with any codec packs you may have installed. Are you using the NEMO, ACE or KLITE codec packs? If you are then it would be worth uninstalling them then reinstalling the game.

If this solves the problem then just get the individual codecs you need instead of using codec packs.

You could try temporarily disabling your TV card as i have seen this help someone recently.

I know this is gonna sound obvious but just incase... have you checked that all your sound volumes are turned up and are not muted in the sound control panel?
