Well then why do all the advertisements and previews show 3rd person views with all the game status in gameplay?

The screen shots are in the perspective of a team member looking at his team mates. All theyve done is remove the targeting reticule from the screen, unlike a lot of fps you dont see your own gun on the screen.

Theres no 3rd person on this game, you live and die in 1st person. If your used to SOCOM then you will find this a refreshing change and a new challenge.

he probably saw a video or screenshot of the person following a team member making it appear as a 3rd person shooter.

hey i think he might be talking about GR2 SHOTS.
From what i've seen GR2 will be 3rd person with a FPS feel. check the E3 demo trailer.

GR2 is going to be in both 3rd person and traditional 1st person, and multiplayer its server forcable so there shouldnt be any probs playing the game in the view u want.

On PC, while on observer. You can "F1 out" from a player and it switches the camera angle. But you cant play in that view.
