This game is, lets face it, dedicated to killing and has a 'warfare' type basis.

I therefore feel it is appropraite that I for one, who is addicted to this game, pause for just one moment to remember all those that took part in the ultimate battle along the shores of Normandy 60 years ago today.

Today is the aniversary of D-Day and I would like to pay tribute to all those that faught and gave their lives for the sake of their country.

They...and those that fought alongside them should never be forgotten.

yep, americans and europeans alike owe an unpayable debt to the men who died on those beaches and other fronts of the european theater as well as those americans lost in the south pacific.

They were the REAL heros and they fought to preserve the life we now enjoy.
Dedicated film to them e.g. Band of Brothers should come out more often to teach kids these days why we still have the freedom that we take for granted.

"There are times when the world asks ordinary people to do extraordinary things"......Salute.

D-Day did more to stop the Russians from taking over Europe than it did to defeat the Germans. They were already beaten by mid 1944. The communists were just as bad if not worse than the nazis in many respects so this in no way makes me think what they did was any less important.
