Thread: Need some Help with getting on Server | Forums

    Every time i try to get on the server it tells me to enter my CD key. I enter the ke then it says "Please Wait" like it was trying to connect to the server but it never connects. Anyone know why i can't connect to a server?

    If your at the enter cd key stage you wonr be able to enter a server because you will need to add the required patches.You can download from this site and others a patch that includes all updates up to 1.53 then you should be able to connect,I however cant cos i uninstalled the game and reinstalled a month later and i'm having lots of trouble through it.
    Anterior version error (wrong version) yet its the same 1.53 version...
    try to put cd key in before you get to multiplayer servers,dunno if that is possible. Then you can install the patch and then attempt to log in...you are logging in with correct id etc?

    Same problem happens to me. I think it's because I have XP home and a firewall Anyways, it works fine when i do it on version 1.0 (Right out of the box) Try it with 1.0

    I'm having the same probs to - did this uninstalling the patches fix it ??

    Also with the UK version is the CD Key at the back of the book ??

    Ross i got it to work by uninstalling completely Mcafee software from my computer and i think i am gonna switch to norton.
