Despite all the glitchers, all the friend connection issues, the download waits and the lag problems(did I miss anything out?). Well after all that I find I'm still playing this great game, even if its in the Island Thunder format. There are always complainers on here and I've been one myself on the odd occasion [img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif[/img] but I have to compliment Ubi for a game worth its cost for 12months+ unrivalled usage.

I find there are very few console FPS's which can immerse you in the battlefield in the same way as GR and I guess for me thats the draw. what I like in particualar are the reticule, the way being hit will affect your speed and accuracy and the way that the Tangos drop/trip/fall when hit. Its not plastered over with gore and blood and I find its more stragtegic than a run'n'gun in Campaign but hook it up to XBLive and and if you have a blinding run you can happily take down all 6 of the opposing team in a rush offencive at the opposing base. lol!

Does anyone else agree with me? or is this just another game, as good as saaaay UnrealC or RTCW?!! [img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif[/img]

hey shaolin, they are supposed to be releasign a new game type via dlc soon, im guessing 1/1/04. Also they are supposed to start releasing the old gr maps for dlc starting 12/1/03.

We all have our gripes from time to time ( me included) but it is great seeing someone post and thanking the people involved for such a great game and praise there work. Thx for doing it and glad you have enjoyed your GR experience even in the troublesome times you held in there and believed in this game. You set an example and hope other will add to your thread giving the game praise like you have done[img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif[/img] Once again thx for doing it.

I don't have the full game just the GR Demo. I decided a while back to keep my laptop for doing pc kinda stuff(it handles GR graphics fine, but thats about it and I've found no way to upgrade the graphics![img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif[/img] ) and do my gaming on consoles. Plus I think I may get too addicted and become another gaming casulty(I lost a brother to CounterStrike [img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif[/img] ) It would be fun to play with the increased arsenal though, I've heard there are some real beasts *cough*MINIGUN*cough*! lol!

No Mods is a definite downer to console gaming

You shouldn't have tried in the first place. There is no way, other than buying a whole new laptop. Some of these newer machines offer the possibilty of changing the graphics chip, though.
