Ahh all this dutch is drving me nuts, i wish i knew the language. if my girlfriend was here, shed translate for me, she was born in Germany, and almost speaks dutch fluently.
cool picture kip0r, i've noticed that booth babes usually dont miss photo ops. where is PSx?
--it kills me to see and hear stories from E3, Quake con, PSx, CPL, ect. i've never been to any kind of gaming expo, and chances are, i wont be able to go to any. I live in indiana, miles and miles away from california and florida, where most all of the expos are held. In fact, last year i got free tickets to attend CPL, but couldnt go. the road trip is just too costly. man, how id love to BYOC.
its cool you guys are posting pictures of yourselves, like i said before, seing someone's face other than their text helps me to build better friendships online. I'll be positing a picutre of myself tommarow, hopefull, with a few more useless facts on me.

Well, this is indeed unique topic that we have here... Haven't seen anything like this before. But I'll give it a shot.
Nickname: Pawe or Paweli
Reasons for my nick: I was in elemantary school on third grade then, when I got my nickname. I was writing in school books etc. "Pawe" instead of "Pauli" and now, almost 11 years later I'm still using my nick. All my friends call me Pawe/Pave instead of Pauli. So it isn't just internet nickname. And I use Pawe or Paweli everywhere on the net. Just everywhere. Some of my friends occasionaly call me Sheridan also - that's because of Babylon 5.
Real name: Well.. Pauli Korgan. Middle names include Vesa and Oscar. So, I have like three names...
Age: 19. On 27th September will be 20.
Occupation: Student. I write some DVD reviews and occasionally some "upcoming TV series" on couple of sites.
Gender: Male
Hobbies: Pretty much anything that concerns computers, software. Astronomy, some PC games, a couple of science related thingies. And I love reading National Geographic. Reading (sci-fi, science, fiction etc.). Movies, collecting DVD's in some aspect.
Also worth mentioning would be that I'm a huge Babylon 5 fan, and I love Stargate SG-1. B5 is philosophical, good sci-fi show with great characters etc. and SG-1 is a perfect way to spend some good time with friends. Egyptology is also close to my heart. And I love collecting everything related to Horus and Isis.
Favorite Books and TV-shows: As I have already mentioned Babylon 5 and SG-1 are close to my heart, Firefly is.. well.. a wonderful tv show also. Frank Herbert's Dune books are wonderful, Carl Sagan's Contact and Cosmos are absolutely fantastic books for amateur astronomy student.
Favorite PC games: Crusader series, C&C series, Dune series, Warcraft 1-3, Diablo 1-2, Starcraft (in other words, almost all Blizzard's production), of course Beyond Good & Evil and.. couple of others.
Favorite movies: This is a tough one. I don't have any favorite movie. I like to treat movies in different ways. There are lot of good movies out there and to me, it would be too difficult to pinpoint only some of them. Anyway, my "DVD collection" is something like trend-setting. You can view it
here.
Location: Our Galaxy -> Orion's arm -> SOL -> Earth -> Europe -> Finland -> Kaarina. To be exact.
And if someone want's to know how I look... Here's one picture, it's kinda old (2 months), I could get a new one in a couple of days.
First, I have a long hair, it's just on pony tail in that picture. Second, that is a chevron of Tau'ri back there (humans) from Stargate. Third, I'm not war-crazy or anything. But since SGC is a military installment, I had to put my old Russian army clothes that my fathers brother gave to me on and take a picture.
Expect me when you see me.

Eh, I've been here for a few weeks, and it looks like I might stick around for a bit at least, so I'll drop some hints.
Nick: Drake_Fieur
Reason: One of my standard aliases, a corruption of my usual Firedrake alias used when Firedrake's already claimed (as it so frequently is).
Age: 20 I think, I lost count a while ago, and it doesn't really matter any more (old enough to drink, old enough to drive, old enough that I should know better, not old enough to be retired)
Occupation: Student and amature game developer/programmer
Studying: BSc Computer Science, concentration in Game Design and possibly Software Engineering
Gender: Male
Hobbies: Random and unpredictable, currently have: two game development projects; one trading card game; play in one rpg group; read nearly constantly; mountain biking/hiking/climbing occasionally; and of course a lifelong interest in computer games; currently looking for a summer job;
Location: Here.... in my chair, in front of my computer, in Canada.
Gaming Experience: 18 years, starting with an old Atari system, a Commodore 64, and a Tandy personal computer. You really don't want to get me started on some of the classic but underappreciated games from way back then. Recently decided to adopt a console for "research" purposes, and ended up deciding on a PS2, my first actual console in many years of PC gaming.
Comp Specs: Was nearly SOTA a year and a half ago when I bought it (was out of date within two months)
AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (1.5 GHz)
1 Gig RAM
ATI RADEON 9700 Pro (128 Meg)
200 Gig of total HD (almost constantly full)
Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum
Favourite Game: Many, but rest assured that BG&E is among them
Favorite movie: Cliche as it may be I really enjoyed Peter Jackson's rendition of Tolkein, also enjoyed Spirited Away.
Favorite Book, Fiction: Tough, tough call , but I'm going to have to put my vote behind Douglas Adams, and The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Favorite Book, Nonfiction: A computer programming guidebook, Steve McConnell's Code Complete, depressing as the thought may be.
Favorite Music: Opinionated, but diverse, a selection from my common cds includes Meat Loaf, the Barenaked Ladies, the Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Monty Python, and Stan Rogers.
Languages: English, smattering in French, also know C++, Delphi, Java, Assembley, etc. As for Dutch, well, I've got friends, but it's all Greek to me.
Mug Shot: No picture as of yet, (insert picture of coffee cup here).
As this post is quite long enough, and you don't want to hear any more puns out of me, particularly not in such an unsafe and unsanitizable envirionment, I'll end it there for now.
