To consolidate scattered links/posts, here again are the links to various files for WWII Radio Entertainment/Communications Immersion effects; basically files of your choice go into the FB/samples/music/InFlight folder..details on use are in the ReadMe Files.

WWII(1930's-1940's) style radio entertainment/music broadcasts:
WWIIRadioEntertainment1 File(19Mb)
WWIIRadioEntertainment2 File
WWIIRadioEntertainment3 File
WWIIRadioEntertainmentMiscellaneous Files 1
WWIIRadioEntertainmentMiscellaneous Files 2

Radio Chatter Communications(Made by Triple_AA, Full credits in Readme files) :
German Chatter File(20Mb)
Japanese Chatter File(18Mb)
Russian Chatter File(19Mb)

The included ReadMe files explain the purpose and provide instructions for use. References in Readme's to the files in InFlight Folder playing Randomly are Incorrect...Files apparently play in ASCII character order(essentially files with numerals 0 and up before alphabetical letters A and up).

Selected files must be placed into the InFlight folder Before starting FB, as files cannot be moved once FB is running.

Ahh, thanks for putting these in one thread.

I tried the WWII radio out last night while playing campaign... loved it.

I'd love to see some realistic airbase chatter for take-off/landing music.

US chatter would be nice too.

That George Hicks thing on D-Day left me speechless.

......the sound of war....scary stuff man.

next time you get all pissed at some old guy in front of you driving slow or holding up the line at the gas station buying lottery, take a minute to remember the sacrifice he might have made for you, and think about making a little one for him.

That acually isnt my sig. I just wrote that after listening to that D-Day recording and feel strongly about giving my elders the respect they deserve. I am 23 and many of my fellow 23 year old friends seem to get annoyed by older gents taking their time and "getting in the way"> Well, i say DAMN RIGHT!!! they have EARNED that right.

-My grandfather, a veteran and omaha landing surviour once told me after i had asked him about the war, "So...your interested in war are ya son? Well, in order to understand war, you have to experiance war. And if you experiance war, you sure as hell wont be interested in war.... So may the good lord bless you and keep you ignorant to that."

Those sound like some pretty wise words coming from a rather simple man. He is a true hero of mine and i sometimes wish i could communicate why i feel so grateful for his sacrifice, and the sacrific of so many others to my friends so they might think about give our elderly friends a break now and then.(and maybe learn a thing or two as well)
