I wanted to give you guys a little update on the patch that's in development. Yes, there is one being worked on. I don't have the release date for it available yet, but it will come as quickly as possible to resolve issues users have encountered.

This patch will be for the US version of the game only. A UK/EU patch will be available separately and will not work properly with US versions of the game due to differences in the copy protection software.

I'll let you all know as soon as I can when it will be coming out.

I'm experiencing game crashes from time to time. Sometimes It won't allow me to start the game so a restart of my PC usually does the trick.

I believe it's memory related butI'm not sure.

I was given a review copy of Paradise before it came out in the stores and I'n supposed to review it...

I'm sorry, but if this patch doesn't fix the MAJOR errors I'll have to substract that from the eventual grade. Why did you release the game in this incredibily poor state?! I would have been a great game without those errors! The art is beautiful!

Maybe I should risk taking some flak by standing up a little bit for White Bird Productions....

I have worked for companies with big money, and expensive products and we have done extensive beta testing with select prestigeous and not so prestigeous but knowledgeable and agile customers with excellent results. However White Bird Productions is a small company, and this is their first game... funding must be pretty tight and thus they resorted to involving the customers as involuntary beta-testers. This way you get some funds, then you develop a patch and sell more.
It's not a desireable way to perform your beta-testing, but some companies do it, unfortunately.

Once the patch is out, I'll replay Paradise and see whether I can get the leopard to play with me, instead of just pressing ESC because I can't move the cute black cat.

Will the patch fix the problem where people can't get any save of any sort, to load?

CryingI can't play this game start to finish and never turn off my computer... thats just silly. I don't have that sort of time.

I got tired of swinging to hit a beehive so saved the game but when I went back I had no stick and no hot spot to gather a new one. Angry Hope the patch fixes this!

zarnic1, love the sig. Wink

Will keep my eye on this thread. I'm just starting the game as of today and so far the only real glitches have been minor (mostly in dialogues, where someone says "In fact..." and then doesn't say anything else. Stuff like that).

I saved my game, but now I'm afraid I'll go back later and it won't be there. (gulp!)

Do we have any sort of guesstimate on time for the patch? Such as, are we talking days, weeks, months...?

Jinx,
I just wanted to say thank you in advance for the encouraging news about a patch. I've just started playing Paradise and was really disappointed due to the fact I haven't even gotten out of the palace yet and my computer has totally frozen up, had to be shut down thru my surge protector and I have lost everything I done in the game so far. I really looked forward to this game after immensly enjoying Syberia 1 & 2. I know your trying your best and I appreciate it. Hope to see the patch soon. Thanks for listening and I'm enjoying what I've been able to play so far.
Debbie

The likelihood of me EVER buying another Ubisoft adventure game is extremely low.

I stopped playing this game six months ago because it simply has too many bugs.

... and no, the patch did not solve the problems that were preventing me from moving forward in the game. :-/
