If the game is using SM 3.0 HDR you won't ever be able to run AA on Nvidia cards. Only people that will are the ATI X1X000 series owners.

how can you say that? the Nvidia 8000 series is just around the corner.

The 7000 series outperforms ATI's comparable series anyway....

He's right. Only the ATi cards x1x00 series can run HDR with AA. You cant do that on nVidia because of its hardware limitation and the lack of unified shader engine. I wonder if they'll fix this with their 8000 series.

ok , then there should be a option to run AA without Hdr then ,don't you think ,i'll trade HDR for AA or have the option to choose between the two Smilebut over all the game is great

I'm not getting into an agrument over tech that hasn't hit the market yet.

Not all Nvidia 7 series card outperform the ATI cards. The X1900XTX > 7900GTX. Not that it matters, this has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

There are plenty of forums to debate about video cards and upcomming tech - this is not one of them.

I don't think you can disable HDR in GRAW.

no AA on My x1600Pro, eventhough I turn AA on in CCC, and I use chuck hotfix driver which can turn AA on in Oblivion HDR.

That's not true, fp16 HDR. Any SM2.0 enabled card can run that HDR, because it doesn't require SM 3.0 for the fp16 blending. I'm not sure what GRAW's HDR is.

I would trade HDR lighting for just a bit of AA any day. I hate HDR, it's an FPS hog. AA is all you need to make a good looking game look twice as good. Do we get that option? NO! Sad Eyes

I'm with BabyShambles01.

A major mistake from GRIN. This is very annoying and won't help selling this game at all! Honestly, what's up with the AA bug? Jesus!

7900 cards support Shader Model 3.0 and
True high dynamic-range (HDR) and its my understanding by what nvidia saids about the 7900 you can run the game with hdr shader 3.0 and AA
but if the game does not support it i quess it don't matter what card you have, the card was design with hd gaming with full AA and shader model 3.0 support in mind

that has nothing to do with it... any sm2.0 capable card can do HDR+AA in source based games... for games like chaos theory and farcry they use fp16 blending and only the x1xxx series from ATI can do that along with AA at the same time.... as for GRAW it appears AA isnt functioning even for those cards... i dont think it uses HDR and it looks more like bloom but i could be wrong

well we will see --- lets hope for the best and hope because of it being a demo and some improvments where left out to support all cards
