Some of you smelled it from a mile away, some of you hoped it would happen, and some of you will probably think you should be mad about something but will soon come to understand that this is a good thing. Splinter Cell Double Agent has been delayed until September, 2006.
There are many reasons why this is a good thing, not the least of which being that this means the developers have more time to polish the product and give us some great. There are times when video game companies decide to put games on shelves before they're ready and this can often lead to an inferior product and an unhappy community. In delaying SCDA, Ubisoft is pursuing the quality of the game and the happiness of the community despite certain financial factors. In short, this delay is a good thing for all of us. More time means a better game, so be happy and start scheduling some playtime for September.   |

what a bummer. now it'll be even longer until we see ingame videos and 8 more months of those stupid "what would you...." polls.

Xbox360 was already delayed, so now all platforms (also PS2, NGC etc) will be even more polished. AAAAAND: PC hopefully gets 360 Graphics and most important: Spies vs Upsilon Force The first parts of PR have begun: Some new trailers on German/French television  . |

Look for one around August ... lol. The month before a game's release is usually when a demo is given.  |

there's a surprise, another delayed clancy title, I'm glad it'll be more 'polished' upon release but am having a tough time feeling positive about this and feeling that it's 'good for all of us'

I have no news about a demo right now, but I'll let you know when I can. Trust me when I say that we would like to give you guys a demo almost as much as you would like a demo. I just can't guarantee if or when it will happen.
I will try to confirm for you, but I think Essentials is still coming out on schedule. |

Well, mostly a Worldwide launch is better, it's better for sales, PC gets more deserved attention (SvM??), Xbox360 is already postponed, and othe consoles also get more attention.
So it's both to optimize even further and to add new content to certain platforms I hope. |

So what now? September is a long way away so there's not going to be much to talk about. I just hope with all this extra time that Ubi doesn't decide to release all kinds of spoiler info like they did with ct.
