I would love to have that map as well, but the main features I am hoping are actually in this Limited Edition are the faction card, the extra maps, and this special hero "aura" thing.

I know the GameSpot site mentions that the maps and the hero will be in this version, but I don't fully trust that considering it doesn't specifically say it does on Ubi's own site.

Care to clear this up LaBoutique?

So if I understand this correctly, HOMM2 is included with the European Deluxe edition, but HOMM3 and HOMM4 are included in the Limited US edition. The Super edition is available everywhere.

So if I want HOMM2, I can't order the Deluxe edition from Europe, but I CAN order the Super edition that includes HOMM2 and get it sent to the North America?

HAHAHA. This is a total fiasco.

Furthermore, the issues about the Limited vs Deluxe version need to be clarified so we can tell if we really want the Super edition or the Limited edition: printed map, art book, faction card, soundtrack, DVD/CD...? Please Ubi take a moment to gather all the information listing *exactly* what is in each edition for us. Your marketing is starting to look a little silly.

* bump *

This is just to keep this thread up in the listing.

Ubi, we, your potential customers, need info about the versions. In particular, the LIMTED EDITION. You may be a European company, but c'mon there is life in North America too!

I think theres 4 versions.
Normal
US Collectors
Europe Collectors
Ultra Collectors Edition

The difference I believe between the US and Europe collectors is that the US one will recieve HoMM3&4, while the Europe one recieves HoMM2.
The Normal, US Collectors, and Europe collectors will be available in retail stores on the release date.

However, the Ultra Collectors Edition will Not be in available in retail stores. It is only available through the Ubisoft online store. It is also extremely limited, with 1000 copies being availble to the Americas and the remaining 4000 to Europe. In addition, out of the 4000 Europe Ultra's, one will have a chance to have a "Gold" coin, which can be redeemed for a new computer.

Given the scattered info, I think (and hope) that you're right. But noone from Ubi has confirmed it!

What we know is that the Limited edition will have HIII and HIV instead of HII. Other than that, noone knows if anything is different.

It should've been decided by now, so please Ubi enlighten us on this!

Btw, GD, I think it should be 1000 for worldwide, 3000 for Europe only, 4000 in total...

Erm, the only edition listed on Amazon.co.uk at the moment is the plain normal HoMM 5 edition, there is no mention whatsoever of a limited edition of any sort there.

I'd really like a confirmation of when and how the limited (or deluxe in case there is any difference in what is meant by those terms) edition will become available.

I'd like to clarify that I do NOT mean nor am I interested in the super collectors edition (the one with the chest and the coin).

What I'm interested in is the version shown here:

Thanks in advance for the information Wink

given the silence, it is possible that Ubi marketing isn't really sure what differences there might be between the regions.

if they really want some serious love and good public relations they should just make HOMM2 a free download off the official site when you register your HOMM5 serial number. Big Grin

Thank you very much LaBoutique! That helps clear up a lot of questions.

I don't understand why it would be so hard to include the faction sheet in the Limited Edition, but as long as it has the extra maps and hero "aura", I guess that's better than nothing.

Ah well, I would have preferred a copy of HOMM2 to the bonus DVD but whatever.

I would have loved to have the faction sheet. Too bad Crying I never understood these marketing tricks. I wonder what they had in their minds.

I have one little question about ordering, that I would like you to answer in the nearest future: Why are there two slots were you must enter you adress (or asddress as it says), and should shipping and billing address be the same?

Amazon and Ubi store have different images for the game box. I hope the one on Amazon is the correct box, since the one at Ubi reads "Might and Magic Heroes V" not "Heroes of Might and Magic".

Order placed Smile

This is awesome... games are way expensive here in Norway, and this actually cost me less than an avrage game here! lol!

And you americans... stop complaining! Try live in europe. In 99% of the cases, we're the one that have to order from overseas!
This time we got lucky! Smile

I'd say its worth the shipment.

The Collectors edition is about $110 if you order it from the US. The Limited edition is for $60. Not good, because I really liked the box, the map, faction sheet, etc. Though decision here. I guess I'll go for the Limited edition but someone has to clarify the ugly box here, which reads "Might and Magic Heroes V":

It's HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGIC for God's sake!!! I'll not buy this box even for 5 bucks...

Why they cant add all three HOMAM 2,3 & 4 to the deluxed-limited versions. This split up to US a EU version is kinda stupid.

Why put HOMM 2 and 3 in tho?
We all ready have those - if not then we wouldn't be playing them and know what we want for HOMM 5!

I would of liked Gathering Storm and Winds Of Change instead as could only get those for 2 weeks over here and they sold out too quickly.
