A: Yes you need administrator rights to install the open beta.

A: No that was a mistake there is no NDA for the open beta!

Q: Can I use alternative browsers?

A: Firefox has been tested and works to download and get the key.

A unique key is nessasary to run the game.

Q: Where can I get my key?

A: The direct download links for the file dont give a key. Its nessasary to go through the join the beta process by following one of the links under "Official Mirrors" in this post.

A: You will need to login with your UBI forums login information.

Q: Whats this activation?

A: The open beta is protected by activation of the key with starforce (similar to how windows XP is activated). The beta can only be activated 3 times. So be carefull not to install it on several computers. Its possible that uninstall/reinstall also counts as an activation. I have not seen an official answer on if this activation will be in retail as well.

Q: "What's wrong? I went to one of those mirror links and all it shows is a black page with a little graphic about subscribe now!?"

A: For some reason the main graphic on that page doesn't load sometimes. Reload and wait. If it still isn't there, then you can click on the invisible join link. Move the mouse an inch or two above the subscribe link and click (the mouse cursor changes shape when its over a link). Thats where the join link should be. The status bar should say hmmv_signup.aspx when the mouse is in the right place on the invisible link.

Decicions like onl;y downloadeble on gamespy lead to people hating gaming companies, thus downloading final games. Why did you do this. Im quite sure this stuff makes game companies running not good.

You will be able to get an activation key, as well as download the OB client, once 6PM UK/GMT hits.

There will be official news on official sites, almost guaranteed news on Gamespy, CH and other sites will have links, and there WILL be a new thread here almost instantly (at 6PM GMT)

The system requirements are a little high, but that is because of the desire to get as much high-end system information as possible...

Some of us have systems lower, and still were able to test. There were some, however, who were too low.

The only thing I can say is to wait until thursday if you think your system doesnt meet the requirements.

First of all I gotta say that this sucks. Why? Because Homm 5 is requiring so high system requirement. I have almost reuquirement but it's not nice to see that how HIGH reuiqrement is needed power from computer . Secondly it sucks that there's ain't gonna be a singleplayer mode in beta.

We dont know how the download and how to get a key will work stay tuned!

WOW, these system requirements shocked at first. FPS require less and have amazing graphics.

For me the most important thing is the gameplay, I can spare the graphics and play at a lower level that's why I ask this and I think it's not that hard to asnwer. It's a yes no question afterall!

@duke_val : there are options, but we do not know what they are right now. This is something that is said to have changed since the Closed Beta.
