Shades of Darkness and miracle? BUG

HI I have a big problem with Shades of darkness and why it is a miracle read all ...

First of all ,
I bought Heroes VI some time ago ....then installed 2.1 patch ....buy 2 DLC and without eny problems activate key's in game but
then I bought Shades of Darknes (+ULC)/in one key/ and try to activate it like others in game menu ... and here is my problem. Game send me info that I properly activate SoD but when I want to play it ,game says I don't have SoD ....key give me only ULC

then I try to activ. it in other way

*my friend also bought SoD and give me his code to check

/it says: YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS GAME !/

Campaign won't proceed!?

Hey, I just bought the game on steam, and am on the second campaign mission "The Emperor's Will". I have now finished the mission three times and yet for some reason I can't go on to the next mission. The mission ends and where the next map button is supposed to be there is just a End Game button. It exits out to the map with the mission select and it says that I am still on "The Emperor's Will". I have finished the mission with and without completing all of the side quests, as fast as I could and taking my time, yet for some reason it still won't proceed.
Not really sure what I'm doing wrong here, and I'm ready to farm this out to the wonderful game Guru's out there.

Hi, I have heroes VI since last december and my friend buy it thow days ago i have a 1.8.0 version and my friend have 2.0 version and cant play online together. How i need to update to path 2.0 ? I need buy a expansion or complete edition of heroes VI or need download path for another location?

HoMM 6 (Plus expansion) Massive Problem (Please help)

Howzit. Please may i have some assistance on the following matter:

1. I own the original HoMM 6. I played it since beta and i noticed a few times it uninstalled itself to apply an update (which re downloaded the game).

This happened a few times and i wasnt much bothered but it was a 2gig download (plus minus) every time so no biggie.

2. Just bought Shades of Darkness which, i quote, says "Standalone Expansion"

Right. So i click purchase, it asks me to install, i hit it and happy times are "eta 3hours" away for download. Cool. I get back to my pc after 2 hours.... i get a lovely pic of the 2.1 gigs downloaded and i hit "play" because it was completed and there was no download running.

The BLOODY INSTANT that i hit play, it decided to DELETE the content and now its downloading THE ENTIRE HOMM 6 GAME AND EXPANSION FOR A TOTAL OF 10.3 GIGS

I DONT HAVE 10.3 GIGS TO REDOWNLOAD stuff i HAD.

Right. So i feel better after raging and i've facilitated my own release by voicing my anger..

1. Is it possible to get the game off steam and just run it through Uplay or straight off the hdd?
2. How can I ensure the game doesnt delete to reinstall itself 24/7?
3. How can I ensure the game is indeed a STANDALONE or does it run through the ORIGINAL?
4. Why does the game not show up in steam as its own product?

Lemme get it through Uplay. I'll post this in the steam forum too to see whats up. But I mean, i work 7 - 9 hours a day sometimes including saturdays and then i have to make sure a product works... that was meant to be tested before released.

Perhaps this is an exception to the rule and you'll have to accept ipse dixit... Because i cant post a screenshot here.

Please help me out here. This blows hard on my side... And if anyone makes a moby **** comment... 10 points to ravenclaw.

Far cry 3 screen resolution problem

I use a Toshiba wide screen tv as a monitor. It's highest setting is 1360x768 at 60Hz. When the game starts the screen goes black and the logo ( pc VGA) flashes in the corner.
I have tried other lower settings but none of them give me any change. I have also tried to change the resolution in the GamerProfile.xml file, this didn't work either.
Can someone please enlighten me.

multiplayer connection drop

hi all,
I have many issues with might and magic 6 and most have been sorted with each patch that has came out.

unfortunately one issue that still continues to happen is the multi player connection issue. With this issue I CAN play a multi player game, but only if i am against the human player.

for example, me and a friend plays a 1v1 and seems to run fine, we play a 2v2 me and a ai vs my friend and a ai and all runs fine. Now if we play a 2v2, me and my friend vs 2x ai we start the game and within 5 seconds of the game starting the one that's NOT the host drops.

This happens with any multi player game that i try to join, i have tried most if not all the possible fixes, contacted Ubisoft and even tho I got a great deal of help they stated to me that because I run windows 8 that is the problem.

Is this game not compatible with windows 8?

my friend runs windows 7 and still happens to him, who ever joins the host will drop.

any help would be great

SoD game freeze in Quest of the Unknown Tear

I'm playing Quest of the Unknown Tear. I own the first town after emerging from underground, I then took the second town to the east which opened the gate to the north above the first town.... now the problem is this: no matter what I do when I approach the northern town through the gate the camera pans toward that town and the game freezes solid. I've rebooted, defeated the town's hero when he came near my first town, approached again... nothing works... I can't continue this campaign... as soon as I approach that town the camera pans and the game freezes solid. I can't find anyone else reporting this problem. So many bugs with this product and technical help comes slow and is not often understood by non-geeks like me.

In game lag/freeze when moving hero.

Okay so I have been having this issue with a dozen more people on steam forums, no one knows what to do so I figure I will ask here :)

Basically all the aspects of the game work fine when hero is not moving, all the little pretty graphics and water effects, town screens all that stuff and custscenes work smoothly, BUT when I try to move my hero, he sorta freeze teleports to destination, at first dozen turns its bearable... but later on it becomes heavier and heavier making the game unplayable.

-this wasn't an issue before expansion release ( I have original hero 6 and the 2 dlcs, but not shades of darkness )

-I have reinstalled the game to see if it was an issue

-the game was purchased on steam (worked perfectly and smoothly before latest expansion)

Here are some basic comp stats to ensure you it isnt because of low hardware stats.

*8 GB RAM

*Quad core 3.00 Mhz

*Nvidia GTX 470 with latest drivers.

all time when i start pirates campain or when i get to siege dark elf town the screen is turned to dark colour and im unable to see almost anything. Game is working but colours turns back only after restart of the game. I have fujitsu notebook with intel HD graphics.

Black screen during cut-scenes

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but I haven't found a response.

When the intro cinematic is supposed to appear (after the Heroes VI logo), the screen stay black - but I can still move the glove-shaped cursor.
It's not a big deal for the intro, as I can skip it by pressing ESC. But unfortunately, the same problem appears with the intro cinematic of the Dark Elves campaign (just after selecting the dynasty traits) and I can't skip it before it crashes.

Is there a solution for that issue ? Or is it possible to automatically skip (or disable) all cinematics?

SoD expansion makes playing Pirates of the Savage Sea impossible

After downloading the new SoD I started to play the first map on the Pirates of the Savage Sea expansion. I thought it was odd, looking at my achievements, that it was tracking the Clanlord achievement, which is about reaching level 20 with the main hero in the Dungeon Campaign. Sure enough, when I hit level 20 with Crag Hack I received that achievement. The bad news is, after finishing the first map, it take me to the Dungeon campaign main screen. However, clicking on continue does nothing because I've never played the Dungeon campaign. So now I can't continue the Pirates of the Savage Sea expansion. I'm afraid to even start the Danse Macabre expansion for fear that it too won't let me continue past the first map. Very frustrating to waste my time and money. I hope this gets fixed ASAP!! I've already logged this issue with tech support.

Anastasya is unable to use Basic Town Portal. She began the turn in the town I wanted to teleport from, the destination was empty, she had more than enough mana, and when I left the town for a moment, Advanced Town Portal was still useable (it would just teleport her one space back to the town she just left). Consistent crash: 1st fight in stage2 (spirit realm) of Second Level Necro Campaign

Game seems pretty stable after version 2.1 regarding town screens and random crashes. New problem: some battles always crash. Seem easy to reproduce in the Spirit Realm stage of the 2nd Necromancer mission. I suspected corrupt save at first and restarted campaign. Got to the same battle, same crash. Crashes every time you try to engage in combat. Complete crash (program exited abnormally...)

I'm currently on the inferno campaign, on the 4th mission, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. The farther I get into the campaign, the more expensive my skills from the earth school have become. I've been trying to figure out what is making them more expensive...to see if maybe this is normal, or if I could better identify what is causing the bug.

Currently my "Mass Regeneration" spell costs a whopping 202 mana. All my earth skills are doing this, regeneration and summon elemental too. I can't tell if it increasing with my spell power, with my level, or with each use. It also seems to be quite weak, healing 62 health at hero level 27?

I tested the earth school in a custom map, and seemed to have a similar problem, though I didn't get the numbers quite that high (I only reached level 16). In the custom map, I used a nercropolis hero/town.

I searched the forums and online to see if this was normal, and I'm guessing its not. But I also don't see anyone else reporting it.

My other spells (inferno abilities and time stasis, have the normal, reasonable mana costs. I also was not having this issue in the other campaigns (I used these same spells and school in the santuary campaign).

I am using the default hero, kiril, though I had made him into a magic hero. I was also using the Batu's totem dynasty weapon...without much luck.

White flickering lines after patch 1.2

This problem occurs on my computer. Im usin gtx 670 nvidia card with newest drivers. I've read that people have this problem after on of the previous patches. I hadn't this issue when i started the game a year ago. This issue is really annoying and seems to dissappear if i change resolution below my native. I haven't found any solution for that. It's really annoying when these white lines flickers in bottom and right screen edges

It seems it's 1.2 patch related problem, i've installed demo from steam and installed game without patches and everything is fine until i manually install 1.2 patch. After 1.2 patch is installed this problem occurs. Are the devs knows about it? Do you have any advice what can i do to deal with this problem, becouse i can't enjoy the game with this.

Hello i would like to ask how can i reset companion, i finish elven companion but on godrik companion i got bug And dany finish quest wita pub. I have companion And i should resuce soldiers from prission. But i Cant Enter there. I have to start new companion or can reset it.

Mouse/cursor flickering in Heroes VI

I never had this problem with Heroes VI before the patch 1.8/2.1

My mouse Works fine on another computers.

The Windows also is updated. Drivers runs normally, other games run perfectly.

I'm only experiencing this on Heroes.

This problem occurs even on VSync off/on, 60Hz/59Hz, Windowed/ Fullscreen, don't matter the configutarion, it seems its a new bug came from the new patch.

I already contacted the support, but all they did was repeat the messages. Anyway, ticket numer is:00552011

I just would like to say: Why the more patches comes to fix the problems, new bugs appears?! Lol, since patch 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.5.1 ,1.5.2, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8... Now 2.1...

The Black Screen before battles also returns sometimes, but that flickering cursor is so annoying, I cant even play properly!
