I'm stuck with a save point that seems to make it impossible to pass the sniper section of this level. The save point starts with 50 seconds on the clock till the president shows up at which point the helicopter hovers and sprays bullets. By the time the helicopter leaves there's approx 30 seconds left. I'm able to spot 2 snipers in the building across the way. I can just barely manage to take them both out in the time given. It takes time to wait for them to stand up. I have no time left to scan for other snipers nor do I see any others. The time expires and I'm told the president was taken out by a sniper. What am I missing? Thanks.

Just wanted to let everyone know. I blocked Hunter (the switcher) as a test, and he was able to jump in my room last night. Of course, him and David lagged the entire room up. Vermin and myself were the first to get lagged out, not sure if it's possible to some how attack certain people's connection, but I find it awfully coincidental that Vermin and myself have been the most vocal on this board about him, and we are the first two lagged out. At this point, I feel like we are being attacked, and Ubi is just sitting there watching it happen and doing nothing about it. I know Mush and the rest of the moderators, who will probably just lock this thread are getting annoyed with my threads on the subject, but just imagine how annoyed my party is when these guys jump into our game, and we end up lagging out. So the only way for me to get then booted is to buy a $200 PVR and move my computer next to my PS3 to record them? Just seems ridiculous. how about just having a couple people actually PLAY the game on PS3 and find these guys, they are on most nights.

If you had a top 5 players list, who would be on it?

i haven't seen many of these threads (if ever), so I figured it would be really cool to get everyone's opinions on who the best players are in the world! I have a few rules to this thread, so we are all nice and respectful towards one another :) :

1. You CANNOT name yourself
2. Best does not mean, best at getting kills, They could be amazing engineers who are the intel kings, or scouts that seem to never miss, or rifleman who consistently are great at killing
3. Please refrain from calling other people "hackers, modders, awful players, etc...". While it is definitely awesome to debate with one another, lets please keep this friendly and if you disagree, disagree respectfully.
4. Ps3, and X360 are allowed. this is not locked to one console. part of my motivation behind this thread, is to hear and read about some of my amazing brothers over on the ps3 side of things :)

I will go in depth with my reasoning, and encourage debate if you have played with/against any of these players feel free to dispute me, AND put up lists of your own!

My list for X360 (No Order):

1. Blinkman (Rifleman)

This guy does not miss a beat, he is always running around, slaying everything that moves, and rarely misses either. He relys on accuracy, and smarts to completely destroy his opponents, rather than trying to be flashy. It is always a treat to watch him play because he his so smart and knows where to be at exactly the right time! He is another Rifleman who has an outrageous K/D, but by no means can be considered a camper, or one who cares about it. He is the guy who will do ANYTHING to get the win, and that is what i respect most about him.

2. Dj Stylez (Rifleman)

Stylez was on one of the best teams in the game when GRFS came out. I think they went 109-1 in squad matches (or something like that). When i first played against him it was as if i was battling against a whole other fire team. it was like this guy was 3 players and was impossible to kill His 3.0 k/d was a result of him just knowing how to out think the opponent, rather than sitting back and camping. Saying that he is a force to be reckoned with is an understatement because of how insanely good this guy is. Ever see him go negative? Nope, neither have I. I personally had and always do have a blast playing against him. Moreover, I have grown to respect him as a player who is amazing, and also is a genuinely nice guy

3. Mayhem X187? (Engineer)

While it pains me to put this guy on the list because how much of a jerk he is, this player is probably the best engineer in the game when it comes to getting hacks. Having this guy on a team is practically a W in and of itself due to the sheer fact that he is so good at getting hacks. I have witnessed games where he will go 2-26, but all of his hacks led to objectives that we capped, and we're then able to win convincingly. I dont know whether to attribute his engineer skills to the fact that his only tactic is to run around with the stun gun, or if its because he is just that good, but either way, he belongs amongst the greats with his skills. However, just being good at hacking is not enough in my book to be on "the list", so with that said, he is also a great leader in game. He knows what to do, how to direct players, and relay vital call outs in order for us to win. Leadership, combined with an innate hacking ability is why this guy (in my book) is one of the best.

4. DzDaKing23 (Rifleman)

DzDaKing is the exception to the rule that all rifleman are k/d *****s. He is an amazing objective player, who hacks, calls outs, listens, and if you combine that with stellar gun skill, it is safe to say that he is the meat of any team you put him on. Having a player who is willing to hack, kill everything, take objectives, and knows the ins and outs is a rare trait to find. A selfless player who rarely gets credit for being the backbone of every team hes on. I can safely say that he goes down as one of the best rifleman in the game because of his unique play style, and selfless play.

5.. StreetKing83 (Scout)

100,000+ kills. Call him a nerd, call him a GRFS legend, but you cant talk about the best without mentioning street king. He is arguably the best scout in the game, and if the sheer fact that he has 100,000 kills doesnt scare you, then the fact he is the leader of his team will. He is a true veteran in every sense of the word. He knows where to be at exactly the right time, knows where to place mines, and knows how to use his scout to SHRED through rifleman and engineer alike. Words do him no justice, my advice is to just play with him and watch greatness for yourself.

Honorable Mentions

7. Kitanakimochi (Rifleman)

Doesnt play anymore, but is without a doubt the smartest rifleman i have ever come across. I hope to see him in the next GR!

8.NATRLTALNT (Engineer)

His tagline should be "silent but deadly", as he is an engineer on the caliber of mayhemx187, but sadly, doesnt play anymore

9.WHITEBOY/AK47KILLA

If there was ever a duo who would be in the top 5, it would be them. The only reason i havent placed them in the top 5, is simply because i have yet to play with them enough. However, if you ever speak there name in a lobby be prepared to be verbally assaulted by the words "%^&* NOOB TUBERS!!! I HATE THEM ARGHHHH. These guys have the gun skill to slay with the best of them, but also can hit nades across the map like it was a sniper shot. Seriously, if one of them has a noob tube, then rest easy because they can probably hit any spot on the map, at any given time. Not to mention the leadership that is constantly being pumped out by both of them (especially whiteboy), it makes them a scary combination to face in a game.

10. KHARISWAGS (Engineer)

Many might disagree with me, but i would like people to mention one Engineer who can successfully use a shotgun against THE BEST players and still hold his own. He leads the Elite 8, and if you get in firing range, its pretty much game over. I have yet to see an engineer who is so accurate with the shotgun, and can move at such a fast pace. The only reason he is not a top 5 player is because i haven't played against him enough.

So, is there still any way to get the four camos and the REX (for example: unlocking them by playing Ghost Recon: Online)?

Hi all, first time on the forum, though I have been lurking somewhat since GR: FS's release and this is my first time posting on this board. I was wondering will future future games in the GR series explore the role of child soldiers and other "taboo" subjects like genocide? I personally think it would be a nice twist to a mission to find out that the worst areas of fighting contain child soldiers, who the player has to 'dispose' of in order to secure an asset or maybe a Landing zone or something.

This may have been discussed before for all I know so please be kind if it has, and I am very much interested in finding out other peoples thoughts and opinions on this particular topic.

Just wondering what people like to run when playing in a full squad of 6. Most of the time my squad runs into bad to mediocre players so playing free for all is fine, but I find when playing against a good squad (usually just Spanish speaking bullet sponges) it gets harder, obviously. Obviously it depends on the map, but I tend to think typically 2 of each class works best. We have run into what appears to be full squads of engineers dropping jammers and decoys everywhere, and we have also run into full squads of noob/frag riflemen. If I were to play a round on rig, I would like to see an UAV/sensor engineer, 2 scouts running stuns/claymores, 1 scout running FC, 1 rifleman running LMG (great for suppression from bridge) and a rifleman running an AR with noob/frag.

maybe im the only one who notices but there are a lot of really key and important things about these new games and systems i wanna know about are not being covered. COD and bf4 multiplayer are zipped lips. the future of used games and these new consoles, nada. release dates for the big titles, nothing. i've been watching a majority of the live streams pretty religiously, even as im typing this, and almost everyone has nothing for the kinect or ps4 motion capture lol.

i thought the whole point of E3 was to reveal the new games coming out and show whats being worked on and bring it all out for the public. instead i get the feeling it's more of a teaser a thon. all the stuff about these new games and systems im interested in are being left out or not up for discussion. 2011's E3 sold me on this game, ME3 Forza4 and man was i sold and excited. this E3 just seems like a lot of rehashing of whats already out there and just see how much more we will pay for it.

at the beginning ps4 almost had me sold when they said they weren't going to shaft gamers with ridicules restrictions even tho they are still pretty much under the gun of the studios like EA who already force extra fees for used games regardless if your Microsoft or Sony. but even sony will be charging for online multiplayer now. now i'v swayed a little back to the xbox as it seems they just have more stuff coming.

end of the day the only system i got on release was the N64. after seeing the big corporate studios say they are going to milk the players for as much money as they can, (the leader of that movement appearing to be ubisoft) for the pure reason of because they can, im on the wait and see list till probably next year. im going to continue to abuse gamestop's 2 week rental return policy while i can before it's put out by the very companies they support and promote.

It certainly won't be by making it so that just run-gun tactics will net any kind of points.

Even yesterday I was playing a match against 3 guys from one clan (they proudly confessed their clan being around for 5 years) who didn't have a clue.
Oh they had lots and lots of kills. But in the end, I had 5 kills and ±4K points, their 'top' player had 21 kills and barely 8K points. A couple rounds earlier I had 10 kills and in excess of 10K points, why? Because of using the mechanics in the game, working with others instead of just running around shooting everything in sight.

I believe that between the 3 clan members and the few randoms on their side they have in excess of 70 or 80 kills. Unless you have a coordinated team to counter that, it becomes a numbers game. Because they go for the cheap kills you won't be able to get high grade kills that often. If you're team mates get constantly killed or don't spawn on the alternate spawn site when available, you'll end up as the lone wolf behind enemy lines and even if you do get the drop on a couple of them, without backup you're a sitting duck and you can't have backup because most randoms don't seem to catch on that they can spawn somewhere else then the base spawn point (and don't have a mic, or even if they do, don't speak the language. I can make myself understandable in 4 languages but Portuguese nor Japanese are one of those 4)

Ask yourself, how often does it happen that you play against a team that doesn't seem to know that intel hack is possible? Or that doesn't seem to know that shooting with a stun gun after a successful intel hack will give them more points then just shooting you with another gun?

Which is why I think that unless game creators start by not giving any points from just killing someone, or just a token amount, let's say 5 points, and giving a decent amount of points for anything that has to do with teamplay, let's say 100 points for a basic teamplay action one won't see improvement anytime soon in any so called teamplay game.
As long as you can have players rack up scores like the aforementioned example (21 kills = 8.000 points) you'll get players that seem to do well in points but actually are just earning points without knowing exactly why and there for thinking it's because of all their kills and not because of any of the game mechanics that are there to promote teamplay. Afterall, running around like headless chicken with a few 'buddies' will earn you teamplay points, as long as you stick together close enough.

I loved the trailer for The Division, and I noticed that most of the same mechanics (cover, cover swap) and general feel of the game looked just like GRFS. However, there does not seem to be too much stealth involved. Is this just another TC game, or is this the new GR? I was concerned because I was expecting at least an announcement about FS2 at E3.

i really liked this show when it started. everything reminded me about this game. after watching a episode i would all of the sudden have a desire to start messing with the gun smith in GRFS. it's pretty in depth compared to anything thing else and yet it's still pretty simple. I WANT MORE customization. i've first person shooterd my brains out. i want something new. i wanna make a gun in this game from scratch with every gun part ever made then use it in a conflict match where objectives appear randomly on the maps. i want a DLC or even an entire game completely dedicated to gun smithing. no mp maps. no la de da champagnes, just gunsmithing. then i want another game completely dedicated only to multi player. i want a game that is all about customizing my gun and my loadout with a boat load of game modes and options and nothing else. no progression, leveling, xp, just experimenting to find a setup that i like. i wanna design everything on my guns from the nuts and bolts to the type of ammo and then put every gimmick of a accessory on it that i can manage. ubisoft just scratched the surface of ideas with this game in general. maybe GRFS game designers had a cool idea overload and it caused them to release a unfinished game and then resort to silencing the players who point out problems and exploits and who generally care.

Sons of Guns, when it started had hardly any drama. it wasn't about individuals. it was about the guns and the people of red jacket working together to make guns. they weren't fighting with each other like we see on every other show on every other station. the only struggle in the show was the job deadline. the guns never going together easily. the tinkering, the experimenting with different ideas to make frigging awesome guns. the best part was it wasn't dramatic. red jacket was fighting something other then human emotions. they were against time and machines. they were working together productively project after project and it was so refreshing to television. it was like American chopper's first few seasons. it was great! a semi educated gun building show almost having nothing to do with the people crafting them, all about the guns. Now its a boring drama about everyones personal problems about how bad they got it. something on every other show.

GRFS went from something completely new with no limits to the same corporate cookie cutter formula all shooters have. all games now a days seem to be groomed to have a less then 6 month mainstream self life. as soon as the CD is paid for and the season pass is money is in the bank the activisions and EA's are on to the next thing with little or no support or reaction to the gamers still playing.

Sons of Guns has really lost it's feel. the last episode was not even about the guns. a complete move over to the drama of individuals. everyone on that show had it made. a discovery channel series is a one way ticket to lifestyles of the rich and famous. now everyone at red jacket wants their own show own store and be the guy in charge. yeah it could be scripted for there to be a showdown for mesa kenetic and RJF and every employee leaving to start their own company and get their own discovery series. it could be the show is meant to end because politics in the united states and guns are all up in the air. honestly i could care less. what i liked watching was red jacket being successful and making rad guns. i honestly don't care about the people in it. it was very entertaining to watch them work together to overcome problems and see something positive on television for once. building custom guns that simply refused to be assembled easily was the best part of the show and it's sad to see it gone. i think it would had been the most popular show on television if they pretended everyone watching was a gun expert and really step up the knowledge level beyond kindergarten firearm safety.

If every employee of RJF really wants to be their own boss and still be on TV, and believe me they do, i would suggest Will, the owner rent out his shop and tools to all the people who want to be their own boss. film them working on their own projects doing their own thing and leaving the drama out of it. the less emotion the better unless it's them getting really pissed at a gun they can't make work. in my opinion that's good entertainment. i want to see the time and effort it really takes to make those one of a kind guns and then i wanna go on my xbox and make my own gun just like they did.

is it just me or has spawn camping getting really bad lately, the other day i was playing on overpass on the ghost side, we had a hvt to take to the arcade, the little carpet shop close to the bodark side, i was covering my team mate who was taking the objective when i saw 2 bodark guys come out of their spawn run down the road and set up shop ( as we had taken the objective so i followed) in the gas station, another time i was playing on market, (ghost side) and we took 2 quick objectives before relising that the enemy where waiting in our spawn and not even going for the objectives, the icing on the cake was last night , we were playing on cargo, ghost side and the other team were pretty much in our red zone, they only took one objective and then were spawn camping, these were good players too, 80k + kills , one of them has done videos were he states that he doesn't spawn camp as he thinks its lame, mmm yeah about that, i mean i got out a couple of times, ended the game with 19 and 19 but man how is that fun, everyone was trying to come out of the spawn, wasn't one of those games where you have to go and hunt the other team, come on guys play the objective get your kills there , obviously when the objective is infront of their spawn you need to push it, but then fall back to the next objective.
sorry about the rant

I only recently got the game and after finishing the SP on veteran mode I started to check out the MP.

It seems to suffer the same fate as most MP's no matter what type of game it is, namely it being overrun by the 'look at me - I'm god - I'm a killing machine-and have no clue what this game is about"

So these days you end up with either the stupid and/or the really ol' hands on it, the people that know every corner of the map. Either way as a newbie you end up being cannon fodder.

Are there still any (casual) squad's active on the PS3? If you look in the lists of squad that were once made, there are heaps of squads made. Most of them seem to have died somewhere in the summer of last year though. Which does make one wonder why Ubisoft tried so hard to cater to the A.D.D. crowd seeing that that crowd is the first to bail after the next big thing comes out. Proof being that the big activity on MP seems to have a first set back late last summer and that by end of fall Ubisoft didn't even bother anymore with events. If you still like to play the game, perhaps even have an active squad, and want someone to watch you back, look me up.

*Pondering*

True GRAW2 seems to be far more like the GR that I played in a distant past on PC but in itself GRFS isn't a bad game. It has some cool concepts and offers some neat tactical possibilities. Alas it seems hard to find any different kind of game type except for conflict. Playing Co-op would have been nice but it was dead in the water on day one, what with no match making. Makes one wonder who the 'smart' manager was that decided that and why they bothered to even leave the co-op mode in it.
BFBC 2 came out way back in 2009 and although you won't find lots of people still playing it, at times there seems to be more of them then people playing GRFS that only came out the spring of 2012. We can only hope that Ubisoft actually learns from their mistake.

So people report lag switchers and nothing happens. People talk about them on the forums and you delete the switchers names. The only thing Ubi doesn't do is block the switchers from online play! Why do you insist on protecting the switchers so much. My clan ran into [edit] again last night (I bet you Ubi will remove their names again), and they were lag switching again, and caused two of us to lag out some how. I am assuming one of them was the host. It has gotten to the point, where if they jumpo in our lobby, we back out and find a new lobby. Our party of 6 is now RUNNING and HIDING from 2 lag switchers, because they just take all the fun out of the game, and again, Ubi does nothing.

I love playing against full teams that have headsets for the simple fact that's it's more competitive and it's more fun. Anyway if you're interested then send me a friend request and a message on Xbox. I'm usually online every Wednesday Night and every now and again through the week. I will also be attending the new GRFS Community Nights.
Here's a little gameplay from my YouTube channel KodieCollings360
