i do not understand anything off this. i need to destry cargo ships. and there is not even 1 crago ship. not 1 im sailing for more then 3 weeks and not one stupid ship! sorry but does this game also has a easy mode ? the tut is bad they are not saying what it all means man how should i know this? come on i want to fight not sailing the hole time with 2014x time speed.

Im pretty new to Silent hunter. I had previously purchased silent hunter 3 but did not play it very much.

I know in SH3, Enemy would appear on the map so I could track and intercept. But on SH5 I cannot see anyone on the map and I am not able to track them. Sometimes on long trips I got my Time compression very high and it drops to 64. so I stop look around and nothing so I speed up again and then shortly I get sunk by a ship sitting right in front of me. My sound guy just does not pick them up. I assume this is his job to let me know where they are at at least a rough guesstimate.

I heard about a Contact update button but I cannot seem to find it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just buy a new copy of SH5, and I have a problem during the installation
My anti-virus, Avast in free version, (update automaticely), block some of the files of SH5 during the instalation. Avast think they are virus, more precisly : Trojan. So as Avast block this file, the game tell me that it didn't found the file. So it can install properly.

So my questions

1) how tell to avast that this files are not Trojan ?
or
2) Something wrong with my SH5 copy ? I'have many install many games, and never see something like that. I'm not the first user of Avast who want to plat to SH5, and I found nothing when I use google.

Just bought this from Steam and further to the irritating requirement to be forced to register with uplay I then find that there are no tutorials and a downloadable manual that tells you absolutely nothing useful about the game play. How the heck do you target anything beyond the sitting ducks that the game opens with?
Having looked online for help I can neither find a way to change the crappy English voices. I have spent many hours trying to figure out the targeting for torpedoes but it`s just been guess work with no results.

Can anyone please explain how this works?
