Hehe, yeah it's kind af silly spending two days on a frustrating combo only to gain a few extra points. But then again, it does feel good to have bagged a max score. The question remains, though, whether it really is the max score. I noticed when I played the combo that the combo time from the Hoodstomper occasionally lasted long enough to continue the combo with the 27 Hoodmongers and 3 Slapdashes. In that case I can get an additional 500 points in CF and the max score would be 110.259 points. I still don't know what makes the combo time last a bit longer or how to trigger it. I'll investigate later.
When I play part 3 in SBTC I need a certain amount of points before starting the green gem combo. Depending on the combo in question, I would need around 97.300 - 98.100 points. I noticed I can score around 10.000 points every time before I get to the green gem combo. One can expect a plethora of restarts jumping for the green gem, which is why I suggest 87.500 - 88.500 points after part 2. There are two or three places along the track where you can get stuck while still kickflipping, and when done right it can yield an extra 6.000 points. But you need luck and you can't do it every time.
Your target is 101.800 points. What combo will you use to get these 1.800 combo-points?

I plan to get 101800, but I'm not sure it's possible. Could you elaborate on where Rayman can get stuck to earn extra flips? I know the part just after the second Spinneroo, and also the gate just after it, but I can't find anywhere else. I can get over 10,000 before I reach the cave, so far, which is excellent, but in order to get 101800 I'd definitely need some more. Are you aware that the green gem can be comboed for 6000, by the way? 5 gems plus 10 flips, but you'd have to do some quick flipping. This combo would be used to exceed the 100000 points, to answer your question.

The first place to get stuck is, as you mentioned, at the second Spinneroo. If you ram into the fence on the left as you approach him you can kickflip up to four times. Now hit the Spinneroo and take a few yellow gems before turning left. It looks like you will fall down, but when done right you can hit the opposite wall and get bounced back. If you are lucky you can bounce a few times between these opposite walls while kickflipping. Eventually you will get up and you can continue the combo with the remaining yellow gems and the kickflips from steering over the edge on the left. This may give you up to 2.500 points in combo, maybe even more depending on luck.
The second place to get stuck is at the end of the big combo starting with the third Spinneroo. Hit him and turn left up the small hill. Here you can kickflip up to five times. Continue steering over the edge on the right and kickflip as you fall down to hit the fourth Spinneroo. Take one or two yellow gems and continue over the edge while kickflipping. Now there are two ways to go. Don't go right through the tunnel. Instead go left and head up the path to the upper level. Here one can sometimes be fortunate to be able to kickflip on the path while going up and down. It's hard to describe, but I usually go up the path on the left and near the top I turn right, almost parallel to the upper level. On a rare occasion you can start kickflipping and continue this when you fall back down the path and up again and down again and... until it's not working anymore. To top it off you can actually keep on flipping as you get thrown to the upper level. The edge will get you airborn. You can get up to 4.000 points in combo here, and again a lot more if you are extremely fortunate.
Another place to get a few hundred more points is the giant launching glitch on the left before you get to the first Spinneroo. You will miss the Spinneroo, but I have sometimes got a combo of 3.000 points from this glitch.
Are you really able to flip 10 times after the yellow gems and before you hit the green gem? I'm not that fast.

Thanks for those. I'm now able to get 91,000 by the cave, but that's still difficult. I've worked out that a score of 90700 or more would enable me to get 101800 (without the glitches obviously). It's in reach at last! And yeah, I'm certain 10 kickflips can be made because I used this last time. It just depends on how high you are flipped.

|
Can you make the glitches work? Maybe I should try to make a video of some of those glitches one day.
|
| |
|

|
Yeah, they're working fine, except for the one near the forth Spinneroo, but that doesn't matter too much. Getting 90000+ before the big combos isn't too difficult - what's difficult is to land on the green gem. I tried to do this thirty times and only once succeeded. Sadly, I didn't get it for 6000 or 7500, so I had to restart. I'm really starting to think that it's an error that sometimes Rayman does not jump at the cliffedge, the game designers made sure all the other green gems were easily achievable...

I have always believed it to be a sick joke that the designers put that green gem in the air. It is ridiculously difficult to get it, well, at least in combo after the yellow gems. Without any gems I can get it almost every time. I spent four months before finally getting the launching glitch and the green gem in the same combo. I was inches away from madness.

I agree, the distance from the jump is just ridiculous, especially so if you're aiming to collect the gems and twizzle for a big combo. Anyway, I finished SBTC with a score of 100314, which isn't good, but there's no way I'm trying the combo worth 11000 points you describe. I'll leave that to when (or if) I replay SBTC. My score is now 788988, but I'm going to get to 800000 somehow. The next level I'm going to play is one that's one of the worst. Most of the combos require great skill and speed, and contain (sometimes tens) of Hoodlums. Yup, you guessed it...HH. My current score is 100085, so there's room for improvement. http://web.archive.org/web/20040123222157/http://www.ra...iewtopic.php?t=14919Here is a solution made by Jona in 2004. It's very outdated now, but I managed to pretty much keep up with it.

It was a huge improvement, excellent! And what better level to play after SBTC than HH. It was interesting to read Jona’s solution. It is full of good ideas, although he improved this solution himself several times. It is written for PC and some things that work well on PC don’t work on X-Box or PS2, one example of this is that Jona can get the Heckler in combo for 2.500 points in part 2 the first room. This can’t be done on X-Box or PS2. In return we have the Lums glitch which compensates for that.
HH is indeed a level that separates men from boys. I think Jona once said that part 2 is truly hell to play, and it is! The combos are indeed very difficult and there is little room for errors along the way if one aims for the max. score.
As a small guide to reach the max. score, the following scores should be reached after each part:
Part 1: 25.000 – 25.500 Part 2: 76.000 – 76.500 Part 3: 98.000
The exact score after part 3 needs to be calculated from the points in part 4.

They look like very high targets! Last time I played part 1 I ended with something like 19000, I think. I lost 2000 because of the Green Gem combo, which I still can't manage. I'm so close to getting it, but what disables the combo is actually the Grim Keeper. Still though, it's amazing to me that 25000 is possible. I read somewhere before that you composed a crazy combo involving the Hoodboom, the Hoodblasters, the Matavu and gems all in one! But are there any other combos in Jona's solution which can be improved upon? I'm giving it another go tonight in any case.

I have some videos from part 1. The first one shows how to use the Lums glitch to get the green gem for 6.000 in combo, and also what to do with the Grim Keeper. The second video shows the Warehouse Combo, which is a tricky one to deal with. If you get these combos right, you should end up with 25.000+ points, depending on the Lums of course. One more thing, save the Hoodblaster you meet on your way into the warehouse until you return from the warehouse. You can combo it together with the Hoodoo and the Spinneroo later. Green gem the easy wayThe Warehouse ComboI have some combos from part 2 as well, which are quite different from Jona’s walkthrough. I will post them later.

The Warehouse Combo looks very hard. I managed to do a smaller version involving the yellow gems on the ledge (on the left of course) but not involving the Hoodboom or Elitemonger. Still no luck with getting 25000. The highest score I've achieved so far is nearly 22000, but it's not good enough if I'm looking for the maximum.

The warehouse combo is difficult in two places. First there is the long fall from the Hoodboom to the box near the Hoodblaster. Then there is the fall from the 7 yellow gems on the ledge to the Elite Monger, which requires timing. But it's the only way to get them all with a powersuit. I have 10 items before the Elite Monger and at least 15 before the Matuvu. It gives me 1.500 in combo from Elite Monger and 2.000 from the Matuvu.
Now, there are some alternatives. An option could be to start with the 7 yellow gems on the ledge and maybe kill the nearby Hoodblaster on the box. If you can use the Lums glitch and get at least two Lums from the Hoodblaster, you can perhaps fall down and kill the Elite Monger for 750 points in combo. Then you can continue the combo as on the video and with the Vortex still get the Matuvu for 2.000 points in combo. You loose maybe 1.000 points because you don't kill the Elite Monger with a powersuit, but you are closer to 25.000 points this way.
A different approach could be to start with the cage. If I remember correctly it contains 12 yellow gems. Get those and kill the nearest Hoodblaster in combo. Try to reach the ledge with the 3 yellow gems, kill the nearby Hoodblaster, all in the same combo (get as many Lums as you can). Kill the last Hoodblaster and fall down to kill the Elite Monger. Get the Vortex and take the Matuvu for 2.500 in combo.
I have not tried this last method myself, but I will some day to see how it works out.

It's always a good idea to investigate areas in R3. You never know what you might find. The room you are talking about is the shooting gallery I think. You can see it in this video. HH part 2 - Room 3The next part is worth investigating as well.

Yes, the shooting gallery. Notice that there are targets coming out of a crack in the wall and going into a different crack. Look closely into the crack that they're coming out of. Methinks me sees gems.

i dont undetsand how 2 get over 100k points at the fairy council my record is 22.435

Well, getting over 100.000 in FC is impossible anyway. Even MANDM has only 43.607, so why do you think that would be possible?
