Why all the hate people? What has anime ever done to you?

Rayman + Anime doesn't go well together.

Rayman's a cartoon, not a manga or anime character.

Think! Rayman storylines in an anime style, Rayman would be fighting like a mindless idiot!

Whatever. I think Anime would make RayMan more of a serious series. I mean, look at the old RayMan TV show, it was terrible, it had nothing to do with the games. But something like an anime (maybe an adult anime) would be the perfect way to get more RayMan fans. There could blood, swearing (only words like h e l l and d a m n.) Or it could be a kid anime, where there is corny, but amusing lines through out.

A lot of fans LIKED the TV Series. It was a great one, who ever said it was terrible?

Blood and Swearing is not what Rayman would do, Rayman is for all ages. It'd be a perfect way to brainwash kids to like mindless fighting!

Look at the first Rayman, it wasn't serious, the second game a little more serious and the third game was just, well hardly serious and people loved them even though they weren't anime.

Personally, I see no attraction to much anime at all.

Whatever, I still would like anime to fuse with RayMan.

Okay, I'll draw anime Rayman and friends to prove that Rayman + Anime is just wrong.

Are you sure you won't make it look bad purposely?

I've actually tried drawing Rayman characters in "animu" style and they were just the most goddawful pieces I ever made.

I ain't heard from Rotem in a long while.

BTW here's an example of my bad attempts at animu.

Admittedly I have a soft spot for really well done shojo but in general I'm really not a fan of anime.

BG&E and Rayman are two completely different things. And BG&E didn't really look/feel too anime-ish to me either. Looking more refined than Scooby Doo doesn't automatically make it anime-styled.
Let us cartoon-fans have our series, there's enough animu-tard-ness out there already.

It all depends on the anime style. All anime has a unique look to it. Like the eyes and the shading in Bleach, or the faces in Lucky Star.

BTW, it's Anime, not Animu.

Animu's a slang term. :P

If I was a typical fan of anime, all of my artwork would have been vectored traces from screencaps, therefore lacking any creativity. Not to generalise, but that's pretty much all that Bleach fans can come up with.

That said, I'm not really keen on a lot of recent American cartoons either. I prefer the cheap homegrown ones from the 80's. Wink

Funny, me too, I just don't see any well made approach to them unless you count Spectacular Spider-Man which has great storylines and fluid animation.

I'm a fan of 90's toons (haven't seen much 80's toons because I was born in the 90's).

I was an animu-tard from I was 10 until recently. Then I bought a couple of mangas one day and suddenly felt like puking all over the books and I realised what a piece of **** most of it was.

Other than video-games, I'm a fan of puppet-animation (stop-motion, like Aardman, or stuff like the Muppets and Sesame Street) and 3D-animation, really... And I like well animated movies. (sometimes I think music, animation and art matter more than the story) Am not so fond of series in episodes of 30 minutes each. :/

MUPPETS! 8D

Sesame Street is also Muppets you know, not technically anymore (because of Disney buying them) but both were made by Jim Henson and had Kermit in them, plus, most of the puppeteers from the show are the same ones from Muppet shows.

Hehe, I had a sort of different version of Sesame Street when I grew up. Norwegian version. Pretty much the same show, but with different actors, dolls (pretty much), etc... ): Baw.

In a stunning move, I stay on the original topic

No. UbiSoft are being complete idiots with the current direction, of course, but it's not like any other company would do it better.

Oh yeah, forgot, 100 different versions of Sesame Street, there's even a Canadian version of it seperating from the American version which uses the same language!

I'm done by the way, It looks horrible.

Edit

Kill me now... It's just wrong on so many levels.
