The salesman dude is a cameo from Tonic Trouble.

There's no official intro on youtube on it except this one.

WARNING: Some dude named Zach talks through the whole intro.

Ofcourse he isn't. The whole salesman thing was just for marketing. Plus they needed a reason on how Razorbeard got Grolgoth (they could've just as well made Razorbeard say "Prepare the...Grolgoth." *DRAMATIC BACKGROUND MUSIC*)

It was just a cameo, nothing else.

how would you know? all you can see of dark are his hands and eyes. what makes you think his head is attached to his body, you can't see either.

His head isn't connected. Take a good look at the Tonic Trouble intro. You can see his head is not connected to his body while he says "Mission accomplished, sheer perfection!"

Eh, I cant say anything about the analogy. I mean, my version of Mr. Dark is some animu styled person with brown hair and limbs.

And that salesman isn't even a salesman in Tonic trouble, he's a general of some sort.

Wow, he does look like the dude from Tonic Trouble.

No, he's not a robot. Yes, he's actually a general. He came, sold a machine that would kill Rayman (but wouldn't) and went back home. And that's it.

OK, the stuff I said about salesman=mr dark was nonsense. Wink But the salesman is from the R1 universe, no doubt. Could he have followed Rayman...?

Salesman=Mr Stone...I like it...

Anyway, here are actual subtitles from the Revolution intro sequence:

THE BUCCANEER, THE PIRATES' PRISON SHIP
COMMANDER: ADMIRAL RAZORBEAR

So he is a commander and admiral. And according to Pirates of the Caribbean, a guy in charge of a ship is a captain, and a guy in charge of multiple ships in a commodore. Whoever the Robo-Pirate leader is, it is a commodore, not Razorbeard(unless commander outranks commodore, in which case Razorbeard could well be the true leader of the Robo-Pirates)

I think we've hit another one of those things that doesn't technically make sense... they apparently didn't think of that while making the game...

admiral is top rank. i'm sick of saying this, admiral is the top rank in the navy, second only to fleet admiral/admiral of the fleet, which is just really a higher ranked admiral.
as for the salesman, he is not from r1, as it has already been explained, he isa cameo from tonic trouble. you people really need to pay attention to ALL of the previous posts.

Razorbeard is the leader of the Robo pirates. Is it so hard to understand that admiral is the top rank like aeojrtfao and spane said.

Admiral is top rank in the Navi (Navi = Sea Army), so it's higher than Captain. Razorbeard owns the Buncaneer: the giant robot-like ship. Out of this ship come smaller pirateships, of which their leaders must be captains, serving Razorbeard. Conclusion: Razorbeard owns the whole fleet, making him the admiral.

Razorbeard owns the whole fleet...but who's to say there aren't thousands of fleets, each with an Admiral? All led by...some kind of...I dunno...Robo-Admiral-Commodore-Captain-Pirate-Admiral ALUMINIUMBEARD, the REAL villain of R2!

Like we already said: Admiral is highest. There's no higher one.
