Some insane people think RM is actually canon. I seriously doubt it(the intro sequence has Rayman, Razorbeard, Henchman 800 and Globox walking into the sunset together). Some other insane people think it's a heap of totally non-canon BS. I think that it's non-canon, but I believe that the characters and levels exist. I actually quite like the idea of Razorbeard being married, of Ly having a palace(buried beneath her house, maybe), of Electric Final being a part of the Pirate Factory where they make Gorilla Pirates, and of Forgotten Dungeon being a lost chamber in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire. Basically, I think the levels and characters are canon. *gets ready for serza5 to disagree again*
i doubt ly has a palace, and i think the razorwife idea was just for a little joke. but alot of the levels are obviously just based on r2 levels, eg the pirate factory, sanctuary of stone and fire etc, but there really isn't much you could accept as canon.
Sorta canon for me, especially with the locations. What I'd like to know is why they only put Tily in one game and that's it. Oh well, it is a spinoff after all.

Of course the battle/race biathlon didn't happen, but I think we should just accept the RM chars and levels as an expansion of the Rayman universe. Surely there's nothing wrong with that?
Rayman M is in the world of Rayman 2. But not in the same levels. And the characters are the same as in Rayman 2, only they look better. And there is tily of the animated series.
Oh, I just remembered, in the RM menu, you get to see some of Rayman's solar system! You get to see Rayman's world with its 2 moons from a distance(it's all cloudy though, you can't see much). You also get to see another, ringed planet...that really intrigues me...it has an odd, honeycomb landscape...hmmm...

I like Gemstone Temple...I think its 4 sides and their coloured windows represent the 4 guardians/masks...
And I also noticed that Spooky Towers has a huge statue of the 3rd mask on the middle tower...
I like believing that the RM levels are canon...it's such a magical feeling when you play the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire and think that Forgotten Dungeon is like 100 metres under you...and that it's a real part of that world...
In RM, there is a level called Forgotten Dungeon on PS2 that seems to be a lost part of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire...when playing Forgotten Dungeon in RM I like to think that I am in tSoSaF, and when playing tSoSaF in R2 I like thinking that Forgotten Dungeon is around somewhere...that's what I meant.
